I believe in God as well but I don’t read the Bible to find vindication, damnation or retribution, I read it to find inspiration.
But there are many who wear on their sleeves the smugness of the belief they will be lifted into the rapture and which are at best hypocritcal, self serving and most ironically, wrong.
Nothing too evil about that, I just don’t want them running the country.
Can someone point me in the direction of a Third Party-malcontent “Bush didn’t play dirty enough” thread? This appears to be turning into a Third Party-malcontent “We should play fair and shake hands afterward” thread.
"They have nowhere else to go!" /sarc
My guess Colin Powell would have been a dem had he retired in 2008. For now I’d prefer the General concentrate on his job, which he seems to be doing.
fine, sign me up. I respect military leadership and think we need people like him. If he runs, I will back him over most of the others.
Probably, she’ll milk them for all the money and votes she can but I doubt she’ll ever publically endorse the site because once she does she will be shredded.
Considering the way the Obama administration has treated Israel, they have no other option - certainly, everyone knows that this administration is going to be one of the lamest lame duck administrations in history.
“Her position on Zionism is appreciated...”
No doubt.
“...but shes a nut-cutter financially...’
Baloney.
“...and understands good and evil...”
Baloney.
+...and choses right for the sake of right.”
Baloney.
“Thats relatively rare in a person, let alone a politician.”
She’s not a politician, she is the Oprah of the right.
There are so many great minds and passionate people on Free Republic, that it always saddens me when we spiral downward into these kind of arguments.
In as much as the article went, I think we realize that it was not Bibi; but an Obama mouthpiece trying to be clever.
It does no good to tell a drowning person that the life preserver at their fingertips is not a sacred object.
So many of us see our country being taken apart piece by piece and freedom by freedom that when someone like Palin emerges with the fire of patriotism burning for all to see, hope surges. It's not a derangement syndrome, it's hope. If it is ill placed hope remains to be seen.
However, to attack someone in the throes of that kind of hope is senseless. Let's look at all who are potential candidates with a discerning eye.
We may disagree on who is the appropriate person to stop the downhill plummet into socialism and loss of personal freedoms, but, I believe that we all want the same things for the most part.
There are huge changes in the way our political system has worked coming down the pike. Change is scary and hard. Let's put that passion toward making the American dream possible again and not aim it against one another.
“We need to clear a path for her. We need to create a new reality.

“Create a new reality”?!? And just what is that supposed to mean? I’ll tell you what it means, you want to create a “new” reality because you and your fellow Palin KoolAid drinkers CAN’T DEAL WITH *THIS* REALITY!”
Good answer to a stunning statement.

Come try to look through my stuff cupcake....see what happens.
Nothing like hinting at Palinite brown shirts.
I’m sorry, everything I’ve read makes it seem like it’s “Sarah’s turn”.
She has never even run for president while Romney has.
I’m sorry, aren’t you the one who posted the article on FR saying anyone not supporting Palin should be banned from the site?
Aren’t youthe one who posted the article saying anyone not supporting Palin should be driven from the GOP?
Aren’t you the one who made the statement “Any Republican, or anyone in Republican establishment who stands in Sarah Palins way better leave a light on when they go to bed at night. Who knows who is digging through their trash and looking through their closets.”
Palinistas are scary and the funny thing is you don’t try to hide it.
You’re just plain scary. Sorry, I’ll take door #2 because at least there’s a chance there aren’t jack booted ideologues hiding behind door.
But this is why I am not concerned about a Palin Presidency. If her supporters are any clue she and they will implode a couple weeks into the primary campaign.
This is what’s funny, if anything McCain will run in 2012 and Palih will have to support him and wait for 2016 or 2020. Her supporters are so blinded by the smoothness of her legs they don’t even realize this reality.
You’re kind of a sad person.
Not gonna happen...
Your response has no substance, other than irrational hatred of Palin because of her religion.
