CLEBURNE, Texas - Officials say three people were killed and at least 10 people were missing and about a half-dozen more were injured when a gas line exploded Monday after it was struck by workers.
Cleburne city manager Chester Nolen said three people are dead and at least 10 people were missing, Dallas-Fort Worth television station WFAA reported.
Johnson County Emergency Management Coordinator Jack Snow told The Associated Press about six people were transported to hospitals. He said officials believe a gas line was struck with a digging machine.

You can bet on it but how can you tell?

Tom and I were watching Fox on Helen Thomas, and he mentioned to me how Michael Medved (a Jew) had "the witch is dead" music in the background on his radio show earlier today, we then discussed briefly the Rush Limbaugh/Elton John story, and at that point in time we saw the message scrolling about this blast. I said, "what's that?" ... is that an old story being replayed? Nope! Unbelievable ... [
where's my rosary?]

Sounds like another crisis being created, which of course cannot be allowed to go to waste.

Terrorists? Make that environmentalists.
The left’s motto is: “Take advantage of every disaster.”
An associated leftist question is: “How do you start a disaster?”
Stay tuned.

It's Texas, right? Plenty of messicans. And someone posted a thread how that r@gheads have learned to speak messican and are disguising themselves as crimigrants.
So, yeah, it's a huge possibility.

A major building site reconstruction could easily accidentally sever a major utility conduit (gas, electric, water, sewer, etc.) The JULIE marks can be easily obliterated by activity on the surface of the ground.

This is going to be a power line installation. Not sure if it was a new line or a rebuild. It may have been contractors as opposed to utility personnel.
UPDATE 2-Texas pipeline blast kills 3 -official
A Texas state trooper said eight workers from Brazos Electric, a generation and transmission cooperative, were digging a hole near the pipe when the blast occurred.
"They were drilling holes to put up power lines when they struck the gas line," said State Trooper Dub Gillum with the Texas Department of Public Safety. "Most of them got out and got away."

I spent my summers in the late 60’s in Granbury/Glen Rose/ Cleburne. Have relatives all over that area (anyone named Hayworth or Durant). Spent a lot of time swimming in the Brazos. Really big catfish (25 to 45 lbs.). Prayers for the victims and their loved ones.

There was another one today in West Virginia. A crew drilling a natural gas well hit an old, abandoned coal mine that was full of methane gas. The blast sent six or seven to the hospital.

Yep someone screwed up big time. Whether it was a failure to asked for a locate, the locate was wrong or someone moved the located marking, etc. Pipelines and electric lines are in the same ROW often so they should always be aware.
