OBAMA isn't from CHICAGO he is from KENYA!!!!
GO HAWKS!!! One win to fireworks and lots of fun!
I know this sounds very selfish and self centered but if the hawks do this, I will have seen a Superbowl title (85), NBA (93-95)(96-98), White Sox (2005), just one more win! Hell if we do this I swear I'll root for the cubs, I swear, looking for sports karma.
Your lips to God’s ear. 8~)
But this is it for us guys! One more win and we can have redemption from zero! Atleast for this year!
I swear to God on my mother's grave.
Justin Bieber and Barack Obama both threw out first pitches at White Sox games, I was at both.
Guess who threw a perfect pitch to Perfect Game Winner Mark Buehrle???
YES
The Canadian.
Justin Bieber.
Barack Obama looked like he was playing dodgeball with faeries.
I was at Game 1 of the Stanley Cup this year, it made the Superbowl, World Series and Jordan NBA seem like nothing.
My body was shaking from the sheer loudness of the crowd.
If we lose in Philly Wed, Game 7 goes to Da Hawks!!!
I'm tempted to go to Game 7 but I may drop dead of sheer nervousness.
Agreed.
I imagine you'll be sweating bullets if we end up in OT, along the way.
Bobby Hull has already had his "people" ask me to do an autograph signing at my store (baseball cards + memorabilia) but people want the current guys. But Hull deserves it, this town is goofy but history matters and I like that. The only history I dislike is ZERO at any of our sporting events including Game one of the ALCS 2005. Please take that off our record :)
PS - The game ZERO threw out the first pitch??? The White Sox lost, so we don't want him. Atleast 99% of Sox fans!
If I go to Game 7, I don't think there is enough Xanax on planet earth to keep me from going nuts!!!
I was at the White Sox v. Cleveland game and almost strangled a Cleveland fan so I really do need to be medicated at games, unfortunately, this FReeper has anxiety/anger issues.
I wanted to tackle Ozzie Guillen tonight, he is the charm who praised Hugo Chavez after MY TEAM won the world series not HIS TEAM.
If it was Ozzie's team we'd have more than 3 people from that 25 man roster, isn't that sad?
But if I would physically or verbally attack Ozzie Guillen that would only boost his ego and his love of Hugo Chavez.
I love the White Sox..... and hate Ozzie Guillen!
That ‘85 Super Bowl was brutal to us New England fans.
But the we lost to the Flyers this year to make up for it.
funny how a suck team all of a sudden gets better... and just happens to be from the _resident’s city
kind of like the NOLA saints.... after insuring a dem victory via katrina, one photo op on the white house lawn and *bam* ... from zer0 to her0
i really think pro sports have been corrupted, but it might be the tinfoil talking.
BOOOOOOO-GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched the Sunday night game and was really glad to see the Blackhawks whup up on the Flyers!
I’ve been a fan of Chicago since the early-mid 1960s, when they had the farm team Dallas Blackhawks in the old Central Hockey League (CHL). I attended many of the Dallas games throughout each season and was able to see many of the Chicago players come down to play for rehab from injuries or to replace Dallas players who had been elevated to Chicago. ....Great Chicago goalie played in Dallas for a couple of years before going up (damn! Can’t recall his name, but he’s Hall of Fame).
The CHL was a VERY competitive league and had great rivalries, like the Dallas Blackhawks vs. the Fort Worth Wings (farm club of Detroit).
I’m now a Stars fan, but Chicago is my #2. I suspect that Wednesday’s game in Philly is going to be ROWDY! I thought there would be fisticuffs Sunday but it didn’t happen, so expect fireworks Wednesday when the Flyers start showing their thuggery.
Ahah! Just remembered the name of the Hall of Fame goalie that played for the Dallas and Chicago Blackhawks!!
Tony Esposito!!
So?
*IL ping of interest*
I may live in Illinois, but I am a lifelong Kings fan. That said, after the Kings I always root for the original six, and against the Bruins, because of the way they eliminated the great Kings offenses in the ‘70’s. (Bring back Norris, Adams, Smythe and Patrick; reduce the season to 40-50 games; pare down the league to 16 teams; division winners only in playoffs; Stanley Cup must be played when it could theiretically be freezing in the original six cities)
