Can you guys ping the Chicagoland / Illinois list?

GO HAWKS!!! One win to fireworks and lots of fun!

I know this sounds very selfish and self centered but if the hawks do this, I will have seen a Superbowl title (85), NBA (93-95)(96-98), White Sox (2005), just one more win! Hell if we do this I swear I'll root for the cubs, I swear, looking for sports karma.

An Illinois FReepers, I was at a White Sox charity event. Gordon Beckham is a die hard hawks fan and went to the game tonight, I am going to try and contact his agent to have him do a autograph signing in my store in Orland Park. I also plan on having some hawks so if you are interested PM, I don't wanna post the store otherwise I'll get a molatov cocktail from a liberal.

But this is it for us guys! One more win and we can have redemption from zero! Atleast for this year!

That ‘85 Super Bowl was brutal to us New England fans.

But the we lost to the Flyers this year to make up for it.

I watched the Sunday night game and was really glad to see the Blackhawks whup up on the Flyers!

I’ve been a fan of Chicago since the early-mid 1960s, when they had the farm team Dallas Blackhawks in the old Central Hockey League (CHL). I attended many of the Dallas games throughout each season and was able to see many of the Chicago players come down to play for rehab from injuries or to replace Dallas players who had been elevated to Chicago. ....Great Chicago goalie played in Dallas for a couple of years before going up (damn! Can’t recall his name, but he’s Hall of Fame).

The CHL was a VERY competitive league and had great rivalries, like the Dallas Blackhawks vs. the Fort Worth Wings (farm club of Detroit).

I’m now a Stars fan, but Chicago is my #2. I suspect that Wednesday’s game in Philly is going to be ROWDY! I thought there would be fisticuffs Sunday but it didn’t happen, so expect fireworks Wednesday when the Flyers start showing their thuggery.

Good win. It felt to me like the first game where they really outplayed the Flyers.

I have a particular reason to hope they finish it tomorrow. I’m supposed to go out to dinner with my grandpa on Friday night when game 7 would be.
