Van der Sloot victim video. This photo is from the hotel's camera and shows Joran van der Sloot exiting the room with Stephany Flores left inside. The video reveals both the suspect and Stephany Flores entering the room which became the murder scene.
"He speaks Spanish fluently and we took a statement from him in Spanish, where he denies any involvement and the charges brought against him," Chilean Investigative Police Officer Fernando Ovalle Gatica said in a statement. "Naturally, he needs to face the murder that took place here and if the courts find him responsible for that murder, he will have to fulfill his sentence here," President Alan Garcia said in a statement. "Don't worry, this murderer will pay. He will pay for what he's done," Stephany's father Ricardo Flores said.
What makes this murder investigation sealed tight is that the video evidence shows Joran van der Sloot entering and leaving the scene. More compelling, is that it just happened to be the fifth anniversary Natalie Holloway's disappearance, to the day. This is why investigators believe the suspect is a serial killer, and if so, there could be more cases involved.
When Van der Sloot left the hotel room, he told the desk attendant, "Don't bother my girl," and was never seen again. For those to believe he is guilty of Holloway's murder, the prison in Peru, isn't so great. Sources say that he's in a dirty jail cell with screaming sounds from other inmates that occur 24 hours a day.
He's a big boy and obviously used to taking force to the ultimate level when he wants to. Add to that that he is a sociopath and he doesn't really care about consequences to himself any more than he does to others.
“Peruvian prison should be a perfect home for a 22 year old gringo that killed a local girl”
He’s gonna be white meat at a leg and thigh BBQ.

I don’t remember who posted this link on an earlier thread; but it is the British Embassy’s publication on what to do if you are imprisoned in Peru.
Scary!!!!!
Also note...He turned the light on when he went in...but did not turn it off when he left which doesn't fit the "don't bother my girlfriend" remark to the clerk.
“I would rather imagine that Peru, as a country, doesn’t need or want to appear primitive or barbaric.”
Peru’s prison system is already primitive and barbaric.
LOL Now that was just mean.
Heh, just like the scene in Ruthless People:
Barbara: [whistles] Nice butt. That’s what they’ll say.
Ken Kessler: I beg your pardon?
Barbara: Nice butt. That’s what they’ll say on your first day, in the men’s club.
Ken Kessler: The men’s club?
Barbara: Mmm. The San Quentin Country Club. With a cute little rear end like that, you’ll be the belle of the ball. Your dance card’ll be filled every day. You’ll be so popular, making all kinds of new, close friends. Big, ugly, hairy friends! Not that you’ll ever see what they look like, ‘cause you’ll be facing the other way.
Ken Kessler: You’re very good at this. You should write children’s books.
He better be hoping his mamma sends him Vaseline!
A LOT of Vaseline!
Oh my.
Tha is a stark way to put it.
I really do wonder what is going through is scheming, little mind now.
Didn’t they arrive in the room around 5 am? It was still dark then. When he left the sun was probably coming in thru the large windows/curtains. The light was probably turned off prior to his opening the door to leave.
“Actually, except for his height, he has a strong resemblance to Matt Damon... “
Imagine how well Tim Robbins could play this part, just WOW!
I see major salad tossing in his future...
Oh wow, I just read that. I would not ever want to be in need of such advice. The only thing I noticed is that the instructions didn’t make peruvian prison out to be quite the gulag that was shown on “Locked Up Abroad”.
I believe it was Lurigancho prison of Peru, and this gentleman discribed it as one of the worst places on earth. He was innocent of smuggling charges, but his female companion was not. He spent a bit of time there before he was finally released, she spent 9 years in female prison, which was not nearly anything like men’s prison there.
I am really finding myself wondering what it must be like to be 22 years old and facing hard, hard time in Hell on earth before I go to real Hell. I want to know what’s in his head. For some reaosn I find myself fascinated with this dispicable man’s deserved fate.
Mmmm nom nom!
His filthy jail cell is just a prelude to the real hell, that lasts forever. He should try to enjoy himself in his peruvian cell because it will only get worse.
It's the seedy hostels that NEED good security cameras.
And it was probably hidden. The objective is to get video of people up to no good. If the bad guy sees the camera, he just makes sure to put up his hood or otherwise obscure his face when he sees the camera.
“For some reaosn I find myself fascinated with this dispicable mans deserved fate.”
I find myself more fascinated with his “depraved” mind!!
Joran will have access to a lot more money than the average Peruvian inmate. He’ll probably be able to buy himself better food and other comforts not available to the others.
It will still be completely horrible, especially considering the lifestyle to which he has been accustomed.
I’m not so much interested in his mind personally, although I do think it would be fascinating to study someone such as this. From a criminal standpoint, this man seems like a true sociopath, no morals or boundries whatsoever.
I thought that he got away with murder, I do not know if I am right or wrong on that, but now it seems very certain base dupon that videotape, that he wa sinvolved with the murder of this girl.
The fact that this person, who is merely 22 and believes he is above or smarter than everyone else, now has to face a very long time in quite possibly one of the worst places on earth, especially for someone like him, is a story that I want to follow.
I want to know about the misery he will face. I want to know how this person will receive his lesson in karma. I want to see the bad guy get harsh, harsh justice. Much harsher than he would have received in the west. Joran Van der Sloat picked one heckuva place to commit a murder. May he get what he deserves.
