Taped from Caminada Bay in Grand Isle, La., on Friday, President Obama warned people in his weekly address to be “prepared for the worst,” even as everyone hopes that BP’s efforts “bring better news than we’ve received before.”
“Over the last few days, BP has placed a cap over the well, and it appears they’re making progress in trying to pump oil to the surface to keep it from leaking into the water,” Obama said in the address, taped from Caminada Bay in Grand Isle, La., on Friday. "But as has been the case since the beginning of this crisis, we are prepared for the worst, even as we hope that BP’s efforts bring better news than we’ve received before.”
The president said that regardless of the outcome of this latest attempt to stem the oil flow, there still will be some spillage until the relief wells are complete and there will continue to be a massive clean up ahead.

It will be remembered that any immediate common sense solutions were shot down by Obama and radical EPA gang WHILE he was golfing, vacationing and schmoozing it up at parties.
The MSM BEAT BUSH TO DEATH (KATRINA) for looking out an airplane window because he did not want to cause rutkus and close roads for a Presidential visit. Obama has done nothing but this; with photo ops behind crime scene tape.
This has gone well beyond politics and photo ops this is divisive and irresponsible. His teleprompter cannot save him this time. Having Paul McCartney take a cheap shot at Bush cannot save him. We suffer as he ruins our country piece by piece and he golfs.

According to you Obama, you and the Gov’t are overseeing the efforts. So, I guess your announcement is pretty much on target for government efforts; a f***ing disaster.
For 0bama hoping for the best means that it will all get blamed on Bush and the greedy and evil oil companies and the Rebpublicans.
The worst case scenario is that the oil will cover the entire coastline of Florida, come up the east coast, and head out to sea.
Obama won’t consider this a disaster until oil starts washing up on a shoreline in Chicago!

Depends on what is motivating him. If his motivation is to prevent the oil from coming ashore, he's incompetent beyond belief.
However, if his motivation is to allow an ecological disaster of biblical proportions to happen so that he can use the 24/7 news cycle to hasten the growth of America's disgust with "big oil" in order to weaken the USA by, among other things, outlawing all domestic offshore oil exploration, making us more dependent on foreign oil sources, then it's not exactly incompetence at all, is it?
He’s not asleep at the wheel- he’s steering things JUST as he planned to. It’s not incompetence- it’s the strategy of chaos. Things happen- all one who wants the system to collapse has to do is...nothing, and chaos gives the desired result.

I agree but it seems a lot think this is too surreal they are numb and don’t see it coming as it is too surreal to openly admit we have an enemy within.
While he’s “president”, I’ll always be prepared for the worse.
