But then you remember that he cannot be trusted because he's a creature of DC who wants to get along with the RATS—his global warming heavy petting session on the couch with Pelosi comes to mind—and he has a self-professed weakness for Bildo Klintoon to the point where he said he melts around Slick which is scary in and of itself let alone that Obamao's administration is full of Clintonistas including Her Heinous and Rahm Emanuel.

Let him be the ideas man that you activate like Harry Mudd's ex-wife Stella and then deactivate after a few minutes of outburst. Anything more and you risk a disaster.

Insightful, Dahoser.

John Paul's use of the phrase “Be not afraid” was a reference to God and His Truth. Newt is pushing “truth” here as the basis for our social, civic and cultural redemption but the COURAGE to stand by The Truth (which must be and always is attacked by Evil)was sourced in fear of God; by the Poles referred to here by Newt, as well as the founding fathers of this nation.

PC is not actually concerned with any given “truth” it raises. PC being fundamentally Evil has no Objective truth. PC is only concerned that we abandon God and salute what it demands we salute. In shutting our mouths and or saluting it nonsense PC owns us and has proof of it. 2+2=4? Yes, it does indeed, but not in America today, and not for a long time. Obama the utterly unfit is not the beginning of something bad. He is the fruition of the lies saluted and respected as Truth for fifty years. The liars have control of an all powerful monolithic state and we who once were bound together by this Nations God fearing Truth upholding culture have been divided away and have only our respect for God and His Truth in the way of the triumph of the forces of this earth. The people in power are not merely a political party anymore. They are THE FORCE for truth as they see it. And they feel as strongly about their truth as we do about God's. November will be interesting on so many levels that the mind boggles.

Newt burned his bridges years ago, but the other crap bags that we call politicians nuked the country. So, in comparison Newt doesn't look so bad. Isn't that the argument they are using to resurrect Jeb. Of all the cast-outs in the political world, it seems as if Newt is the least covered with Globalist strings.....but who knows.

I listened to it 3 times just trying to make a list of the books he referred to for my reading list. There are about 8 of them. Notice he was not working from a written speech?

Hi, cripplecreek! There's nothing wrong with a green economy, especially if the U.S. leads the way.
And Michigan is a leader in the green economy and its a dead end road.

Energy prices here have more than doubled. The legislature forces production cuts from electric and gas producers. Denies permits for clean coal fired plants due to a lack of demand. Then approves wind farms despite the lack of demand that prevents clean coal.

Yee haw, we're leading the way.

Hey GOP Lady!

We will give you “change”. We will cut off all non “green” forms of energy to all bleu states and to you. Nothing like facing freezing in the cold and dark, going without modern medical practices/equipment/procedures and having to rely on your own two feet or horses for transportation to make you go “green” in a hurry. Either that or your state will look like Haiti within a year-not one tree standing because everyone has cut them down for firewood.

What’s a green economy and why would it work?

Don’t forget the ‘debate’ on Global Warming with John Kerry after the 2004 election. I thought he needed knee pads during the ‘debate’.

Whether we agree with and/or like Newt or not, his message is important to all Michiganders. I've forwarded the YouTube link to my Michigan friends and relatives, and I encourage others to do the same.

Something has to get Michigan's attention. It's a beautiful state (and where I grew up) and I'd hate for it to die!

There is nothing wrong with a green economy as in the color of money. There is everything wrong with a centrally planned, government subsidize, artificially created demand "green economy." In fact it makes a real green (as in the color of money)economy all but impossible to sustain.

Its not change or die its change and die.

I wonder how many jobs would be created by allowing slant drilling under the great lakes for oil and gas? The same question can be asked about coal fired power plants.

The fact is that windfarms produce minimal jobs and minimal electricity. In turn they produce higher prices which will only serve to drive jobs away.

1.) It was great to see a grown man speak from his head and heart, not standing at a podium bobbing his head back and forth reading from a teleprompter.

2.) That Newt is the one I try to keep in mind, not the Newt tarnished by DC insider nonsense and couch sessions with Pelosi.

3.) That Newt could be President, VP, chief adviser or whatever he wanted in 2012.

4.) I hope he does run for something just so I can see him totally dismantle the Democrats in any debate.

Analyzing Newts suggestions given what has happened in the past is important. Newt reacts to the problems created by the Left’s Marxist “progress”. In that reaction, he proposes “private public partnerships” as the althernative which was a great idea until the private partnership aspect was powerful enough in public affairs to shake down the treasury! My point is, reaction to Marxist oppression is Fascist oppression. Either way, we lose freedom.

Another example: Newt says people getting unemployment checks should have to do something in return...like getting out on the street and reporting crime. Can anyone say a Newt solution setting up the structure for Obama’s political shock troops? Newt touts Tommy Thompson’s welfare “reform.” Well, this is where politicans launched their current corrupt relationships with employers of welfare folks in return for favors from government.

Let’s do it a third way - a return to the structure and original intent of the constitution in reaction to Marxism. That way Marxists can not exist because they will lack the centralized power to exist and we do not have to react with looking to corrupt corporate CEO’s to “save” us from the commies and socialists.
