Elena Kagan's Supreme Court nomination is becoming contentious because of tensions over sensitive documents related to her past career.
Sen. Jeff Sessions (Ala.), ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, has asked the Department of Defense for all records related to its efforts to recruit at Harvard Law School while Kagan served as dean.
Sessions criticized Kagan in a floor speech last week for barring military recruiters after she became dean in 2003

The list, ping
I think this is a pretty important issue....
The undocumented Kagan just as the undocumented Obama. The Dems get a free ride as usual.

God forbid we should know anything about an activist Judge who will be on the court for maybe 30-40 YEARS?
It’s time for SCOTUS Interuptus.

The other day I was listening to Roosevelt’s actions with concern to the SCOTUS back in the 30s. Wow. The guy was out of his fricken mind.
Her handlers are trying to maintain the fig leaf of ‘moderation’ by withholding almost everything she’s written, denying access to her friends and family, and imposing the kind of blackout that would cause the Dems to go nuclear if it were done in reverse. In her famous college thesis, she laments the sad passing of Socialism. Thats a far-from-the-mainstream viewpoint.
She notes: It is easier, after all, to fight one’s fellows than it is to battle an entrenched and powerful foe.
Foe? And who is that? The USA?
Or would she argue that she meant capitalism? But capitalism is a pillar of American civilization. It is the practical expression of the freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution. Is she opposed to letting the citizenry take possession of those freedoms? Will she work to undermine capitalism?
Foe? She has to explain what she meant.
