BP may not cap Gulf well until end of August

ROBERT, La. After failing again to stem the flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, BP scrambled Sunday to make some progress in ending the spill that the president's top energy adviser said was the biggest environmental disaster the U.S. has ever faced.
Six weeks after the spill, oil giant BP PLC said that its latest plan to cap the well wouldn't capture all the crude fouling the Gulf. And the relief wells currently being drilled which are supposed to be a better long-term solution won't be done for at least two months.
"Well, the relief well at the end of August is certainly the end the end point on this game," Robert Dudley, BP's managing director, said Sunday on ABC's "This Week." ''But we failed to wrestle the beast to the ground yesterday."
That would be in the middle of the Atlantic hurricane season, which begins Tuesday. The crude likely won't affect the formation of storms, but the cyclones could push the oil deeper into coastal marshes and estuaries and turn the oil into a crashing black surf.

The situation is absolutely under controll - BP has more then enough money to pay all the lawyers they need - also they allready tricked al lot of fishermen out of their legal rights to claim.

It is all the fault of Obama. He an not avoid it. This one is 100% under his watch and he is responsible.
I honestly believe if BP wanted to cap the well they could or at least funnel it into barges until a fix was established.

Obama and the DNC have no interest in stopping the disaster
any more than they want to stop the attacks on America by terrorists (their allies).
Obama's Oil

1) Pres_ _ent Obama and Rahm and the DNC gets $$$$$ from BP ............. check
"Obama biggest recipient of BP cash
BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million
to federal
with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama"
"Obama White House and British Petroleum (BP), which pumped $71,000 into Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign
are covering up the magnitude of the volcanic-level oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico."
Top PR firm for BP tied to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel
PR firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner "helped BP plan and evaluate its successful re-branding campaign,
focusing the company's branding on energy solutions, including the development of solar and other renewable energy sources."
The firm's Stanley Greenberg is married to Rep. Rosa De Lauro, D-Conn.
There was something of a flap last year when it was pointed out that White house Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel had been living in the couple's Capitol Hill townhouse and resulting in a lot of questions about whether or not this arrangement violated congressional ethical guidelines.
Further, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee paid Greenberg's firm some $500,000 in 2006 and 2008 while Emanuel was living with Greenberg, and Emanuel was even in charge of the DCCC during the 2006 election cycle.."
Bombshell expose'. The real reason the oil still flows into the Gulf of Mexico.
The real money is in the use of dispersements.
There is a company called NALCO. They make water purification systems and chemical dispersements.
NALCO is based in Chicago with subsidiaries in Brazil, Russia, India, China and Indonesia. "

2) The secret reasons for the $$$$$ to Obama ............. check
BP oil leak: Fallen Deepwater Horizon was tapping second largest oil deposit in the world
If there is a single aspect to the dangers of the BP oil leak,
it lies in the question CEO Tony Hayward and other BP executives
have been avoiding since the first drop of oil went rogue: How much oil is leaking?
The real answer is - more than anyone wants to admit,
because the well holds enough oil to make Saudi Arabian drillers jealous."

3) Pres_ _ent Obama exempts BP from normal requirements ......... check

Gulf oil spill: BP has a long record of legal, ethical violations
. the London-based company has a penchant for putting profits ahead of just about everything else.
Over the past two decades, BP subsidiaries have been convicted three times of
environmental crimes in Alaska and Texas, including two felonies. It remains on
probation for two of them. "
Federal Regulator Repeatedly Failed to Inspect Deepwater Horizon - Including for... Obama Presidency
ABC News has learned that in the 16 months from January 2009 through April 2010
MMS failed to inspect Deepwater Horizon four times - in May 2009, August 2009, December 2009, and January 2010."

4) Pres_ _ent Obama creates a dangerous, negligent environment ......... check
Internal Documents Show Early Worries About Safety of Rig
BP internal documents show they knew the risk of using thin casing in high pressure, lied to MMS."
BP reports warning signs before gulf oil rig explosion"
"Heated Argument on Rig Hours Before Blast ( Deepwater Horizon oil spill )
Mr. Brown said Transocean's crew leaders-including the rig operator's top manager,
Jimmy W. Harrell-strongly objected to a decision by BP's top representative, or
"company man," over how to start removing heavy drilling fluid and replacing it with
lighter seawater from a riser pipe connected to the well head. Such pipes act as conduits
between the rig and the wellhead at the ocean floor, and carry drilling fluid in and out of the well."
"Workers on doomed BP oil rig: Corners were cut to save money
Two workers injured when an oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico told Congress on
Thursday that the companies in charge of the doomed drilling operation cut corners and
neglected maintenance in a race toward higher profits.
MMS official Jason Mathews, one of the panelists who questioned Harrell, noted that the
project was several weeks behind schedule, a delay that had cost more than $20 million at
a daily rate of $525,000."
"BP Used Riskier Method to Seal Oil Well Before Blast
Several days before the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, BP officials chose,
partly for financial reasons, to use a type of casing for the well that the company knew
was the riskier of two options, according to a BP document.
BP's decision was "without a doubt a riskier way to go," said Greg McCormack,
director of the Petroleum Extension Service at the University of Texas at Austin"
"U.S. oil drilling regulator ignored experts' red flags on environmental risks
Minerals Management Service officials, who can receive cash bonuses in the thousands
of dollars based in large part on meeting federal deadlines for leasing offshore oil and gas
exploration, frequently changed documents and bypassed legal requirements aimed at
protecting the marine environment, the documents show."

5) Pres_ _ent Obama, BP, and the DNC begin the obstruction ......... check
"There Was 'Nobody in Charge' (Deepwater Horizon Explosion and Fire)
In the minutes after a cascade of gas explosions crippled the Deepwater Horizon on April 20,
....Andrea Fleytas, a 23-year-old worker who helped operate the rig's sophisticated navigation machinery,
suddenly noticed a glaring oversight: No one had issued a distress signal to the outside world,
she recalls in an interview. Ms. Fleytas grabbed the radio and began calling over a signal monitored by the Coast Guard and other vessels.
"Mayday, Mayday. This is Deepwater Horizon. We have an uncontrollable fire."
When Capt. Kuchta realized what she had done, he reprimanded her, she says.
"I didn't give you authority to do that," he said, according to Ms. Fleytas, who says she responded: "I'm sorry."
Limited Media Access to Oil Spill?
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Media organizations say they are being allowed only limited
access to areas impacted by the Gulf oil spill through restrictions on plane and boat traffic
that are making it difficult to document the worst spill in U.S. history."
"McCarthy: Obama hasn't returned call of lawmaker representing district of rig!! "
"Obama sat on sand berm request 2 weeks, still no reply"
"Frustration over sand barriers boils in Louisiana as federal government offers few answers"

6) Pres_ _ent Obama, BP and the DNC begin the coverup ......... check
BP's Photo Blockade of the Gulf Oil Spill
As BP makes its latest attempt to plug its gushing oil well, news photographers are
complaining that their efforts to document the slow-motion disaster in the Gulf of Mexico
are being thwarted by local and federal officialsworking with BPwho are blocking
access to the sites where the effects of the spill are most visible."
BP buses in 400 for photo op with Obama

Jefferson Parish Councilman Chris Roberts, whose district encompasses Grand Isle, told
Yahoo! News that BP bused in "hundreds" of temporary workers to clean up local
beaches. And as soon as the president was en route back to Washington, the workers were clearing out of Grand Isle too
A local radio host suggested that the White House was behind the effort to set up the photo op. ."
"Parish official: BP shipped in workers for president's visit
Roberts said the workers were offered $12 an hour to come out to the scene at Grand Isle and work.
But, when Obama departed, so did the workers, he said."
"Oil Spill - CBS Threatened With Arrest For Filming The Oil Spill (Coast Guard: "This Is BP's Rules."

In addition to this potential conflict of interest, federal officials have mandated that BP

President Delays Oil Spill Recovery Efforts For San Francisco Fundraiser With Getty Oil Heirs"

7) The REAL DEAL: Pres_ _ent Obama displays utter incompetance (again) ......... check
"Louisianans take oil cleanup in own hands as frustration mounts."
"Worst Press Conference Since " I Am Not A Crook"
It's hard to imagine a Republican president getting away with the weasel words offered
today by Barack Obama. The President couldn't determine if MMS head Elizabeth
Birnbaum was fired or she resigned. Even the Obama bread carriers at CBS were skeptical:
Elizabeth Birnbaum's departure was first reported as a "firing." Later, a "resignation."
When asked for clarity, President Obama told the press corps today he had no idea."
"President Obama Returns to LA to Assess the Oil Crisis
Prepare for another impact from the deep water Horizon accident: higher energy prices.
It`s not the rupture of the well itself that`s going to influence prices, but a six-month
extension of the moratorium on new deep water drilling projects declared yesterday by
the Obama administration. Bernstein Research predicts if the moratorium continues
for a year, it would cut global oil supplies by 500,000 barrels a day between 2013
and 2017.
The Bernstein report expects new regulations to add about 10 percent
to the price tag of offshore production. U.S. drillers will get hit first, but if the new
tougher regulations become the worldwide standard, then offshore drillers every."
8) The REAL DEAL: Pres_ _ent Obama destroys America (again) ......... check
"Analysis: Could U.S. Lose 200 Rigs by the End of Summer?
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector index, commonly known by its ticker OSX, is based
on the stock market movements of 15 oil service company components.

Most recently the OSX peaked on April 23rd at 228.22, the day after the Deepwater
Horizon sank. Subsequently, the index has fallen 20% as both the broader markets have
been roiled by European concerns and the oil prices have begun to re-couple with
fundamentals (i.e. excess inventory levels). Crude oil has fallen 14% in recent weeks.
If the recent fall of the OSX and commodities foreshadows a similar move in the US rig
count, then a pullback to 1300 rigs or a 15% decline from current level of 1518 rigs
would not be a huge surprise. Of the 200 rigs that would be sidelined, a split of 45% oil
and 55% gas rigs removed from the count seems plausible."

Well, let me pose the question no one wants to pose: What if the whole reserve has to run out? What if it's "uncappable?"
At some point do people not have to see that "GUBMENT" (and man, writ large) cannot "do anything?" That there are problems that are unsolvable? Would that not be the single most damaging piece of evidence against the Progressive/Liberal/Socialist thinking since the death camps?

I fail to see that logic. How is it in BP’s interest to lose a massive oil field that they spent $$ to find, drill, and operate? The only possible answer would be if a) it is even more expensive than ALL the oil down there (doubtful) to plug it, or b) if it is, in fact, “Uncappable.” No one wants to go there.

“Well, the relief well at the end of August is certainly the end the end point on this game,” Robert Dudley, BP’s managing director, said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.”
How can he say that? The blowout well was their 2nd try. The first failed but was capped. The second blew out. What makes them think #3 comes with a guarantee? (And in hurricane season.)

Although the wells may relieve the pressure and thus allow the gusher to be plugged, they will also allow production of a prodigious bounty of crude and gas, enough to easily pay the costs of the damages and lawyer welfare for decades.

Lately, Ive heard many talking heads in the news media suggesting that the only way to stop the BP oil leak might be to detonate a nuclear bomb under the leak site.
Before they consider that option, they might want to watch this video of Dr. Gregory Ryskin, Professor of Chemical Engineering at Northwestern University. In the video, Dr. Ryskin explains how a prehistoric methane gas explosion could explain the Permian-Triassic Extinction Event, a mysterious period in Earth history where 95% of all species went extinct.
Given that the amount of methane gas that is leaking from the BP spill site is at least equal to the amount of oil, it would lead one to believe that there is a huge underground pocket of methane gas buried there.
Now, if Dr. Ryskins theory is correct, not only would detonating a nuclear bomb near that underground methane pocket end the oil spill, it might end all life on Earth as well.
