SNIPPET: “Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon said Monday morning that the pro-Palestinian activists on the flotilla sailing to the Gaza Strip had weapons on board.

Cindy,

it’s a known fact leftists and socialists have been historically antisemitic Jew-haters. The first socialists in europe were full blown antisemites and said Jews deserved to be kicked out of europe. It’s no different today when leftists and socialists support hamas and other islamofacist jihadist terrorists and talk about destroying the Jewish State.

here they were joined by notorious Jew hating American traitors for Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and ex-military poser Ann Wright .

I hope the IDF did America a favor and we will not be seeing either of these despicable traitors again

I spent 20 years in the US Army; the IDF soldiers that lost these weapons at the very least need more training if not severe disciple. Your weapons in a combat situation are of utmost importance.

An earlier article (one of several I’ve read so I don’t know which it was) mentioned that the crew of the ‘flotilla’ were lying in wait, and basically ambushed the soldiers. A close-quarters ambush while checking the ship, and while separated from other members of the boarding party sounds plausible to me... Hence why they might have been overtaken.

I understand what you’re saying about their weapons, however there are indications that at least 3 IDF soldiers were injured seriously enough to be rushed to the hospital — one stabbed in the stomach that required emergency surgery.

Granted, I’ve never been in the military, but I think it’s possible that the soldiers did everything ‘right’ and STILL lost control of the situation due to the ambush. It seems the craziness didn’t last all that long though, and two of the ‘flotilla’ crew are now dead.

Ever heard of a "through down" pistol,,, most cops know what I'm talking about..

I agree with a poster on an earlier thread,,, Loud speaker: "Stop Or We Will Shoot", five seconds,,, "Deck guns,,, OPEN FIRE"!

EX-Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, thankfully. Her father, who was member of the state legislature, vociferously blamed her loss on the "J-E-W-S!"

I’d like to know exactly how two Israeli soldiers had their hand guns taken from them by unknown person or persons aboard a flotilla boat—and left the boat before getting them back.

This story does not track, though the IDF appears to be less competent than it was 10 or 15 years ago.

I like the hanging idea, but I think this will be what Israel will have to do to survive:

Its pretty bizarre actually. Why on earth would the IDF board the ships in international waters?! Why not let them into Israeli territorial water and then board them(Am I wrong about this? The news reports seem to be saying this). In international waters the IDF would be committing piracy against the ships, right? Since the whole point of the ridiculous flotilla was to make Israel look bad, why would they be so stupid in executing this poor operation.

I know during my time in the Corps, all pistols were tethered (lanyard's) to the owner. Seemed like a pain in the arse to a young 20-something. But the older salts explained that it is to help keep your weapon while bailing in and out of hummers; or; in the midst of "peace keeping", no one can readily swipe your sidearm.

Someone had posted the Israeli's who lost their weapons need more training; agreed and hopefully this lesson is making its way through Israeli ranks.

Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon addressed the press Monday morning after the Gaza Flotilla operation. Attendance by the international media was sparse.

TRANSCRIPT (unofficial):

“I want to report this morning that the armada of hate and violence in support of the Hamas terror organization was a premeditated and outrageous provocation. The organizers are well known for their ties with global Jihad, Al-Qaeda and Hamas. They have a history of arms smuggling and deadly terror. On board the ship we found weapons - prepared in advance and used against our forces.

“The organizers’ intent was violent, their method was violent, and the results were unfortunately violent. Israel regrets any loss of life and did everything to avoid this outcome. We repeatedly called upon the organizers, and all those who associated with them, through diplomatic channels and any other means we could - to stop this provocation. The so-called humanitarian aid was not for a humanitarian purpose. Had it been for a humanitarian purpose, they would have accepted our offer to deliver all humanitarian supplies through the appropriate channels which are used on a daily basis, as we make sure that Gaza will not be short of humanitarian supplies. On a daily basis we do that.

“We asked them to send [their supplies] through the proper channels, whether it’s the UN, whether it’s the Red Cross, whether it’s our people - but to no avail. They said it’s a humanitarian campaign, but in fact what they said repeatedly is that their intent and purpose was to break the maritime blockade on Gaza. [The blockade] is very legal and justified by the terror that Hamas is applying in Gaza. Allowing these ships to go in a illegal way to Gaza would have opened a corridor of smuggling arms and terrorists to Gaza with the inevitable results of many, many thousands of civilian deaths, and violence all over the area.

“After these repeated calls were not heeded by the organizers, we told them that they will not be allowed to break the blockade. According to maritime law we have the right to do that. Unfortunately the people and organizers on the ship did not heed the calls of our forces this morning to peacefully follow them and bring a peaceful closure to this event.

“No sovereign country would tolerate such violence against civilian population, against its sovereignty, against international law. And we in Israel call today upon all relevant parties and on all relevant countries to work together in calming the situation.”

The following sound clip was released on Israel Radio earlier today, in which can be heard the IDF warning to the flotilla, and the flotilla’s uncouth response (an expletive):

What I want to know is this:

WTH was an American flag doing on that ship? Did the protesters think that would grant them safe Obambi-passage, or did they just know it would look good on international TV?

Make ‘em chum, all of them!

In another post (one from the JPost, I believe), it was said the weapons were already onboard, the IDF was very surprised to see them there.

As always, I’m cutting the Israelis the maximum amount of slack. God knows they need it!
