Reporting from Houma, La. Engineers have succeeded in stopping the flow of oil and gas into the Gulf of Mexico from a gushing BP well, the federal government's top oil spill commander, U.S. Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen, said Thursday morning.

Good for BP - and COMMERCIAL industry.
And now watch Barry Zero claim the credit.
Well hey stranger! How the heck have you been? Long time no see ‘round these parts.
With that film of the oil gushing from the ocean floor, the Left has it’s “Silent Spring” / “Three Mile Island” / “Chernobyl” propaganda with which to kill domestic oil production for the next 150 years. Great job to the fools who perpetrated this disaster by not following proper procedures (probably for schedule gains).
LOL! I was about to say the exact same thing about you!
All is well at this end! I still post here but not as much as I used to up until this disaster in the gulf at least!
How’s thing up in Obamer land?
The wellhead is not salvageable. BP has not been dragging their feet. If you want to know what is really being done, and how long things take and why, here:
I do too. What'd they do?
What's top kill?
Fox is currently discussing this issue at length and there is NO confirmation of complete stop of the flow.
No kidding! I can do all those things you mentioned and none of them are easy even under ideal conditions. If this fix turns out good these people should be lauded for a job well done under incredible pressure. No pun intended!!
The live feed also seems to have stopped? Does anyone have a working live feed link that shows the exact spot of the leak?
“Anyone who doesnt understand that should still be in a highchair”
What a patronizing comment. Any professional oil techie who didn’t have this “idea” on the shelf, to deal with a potential catastrophic failure of the blowout preventer at any depth being drilled .... should be sent to military planning school. Captains and Majors could help them think ahead and plan for the unthinkable, then step aside while the exceptionally brilliantly condescending engineers do it.
The live feed has not stopped.
They are moving the ROV’s around to different levels of the BOP stack to make sure that they have not blown out a valve from the pumping pressures. They will go back to the riser soon. When it shows that the flow has stopped, then you know that the cement plug is in place.
Obama should be acknowledged for one thing.
He did not go out to the rig to visit. That would have shut down all operations for two days, and required all other ships to leave the area.
uh huh ... I’ll wait until i see the evidence, and the thing could start leaking again at any time, this isn’t over.
bttt
