National Guard troops have been on the border before. With no ammunition, no authority, and orders not to start any trouble, they are just on a bivouac.
Just another waste of time for political motives.

LOL! The last time they did this, the local news proudly reported that all the troops were allowed to do was “observe”. I think it would be cheaper to send summer school kids down there to count illegals coming across.

GOOD but what he is really doing is trying to deflect news stories away from BP/HIS Gulf oil blowout disaster.

Oh, yetch....McAmnesty will be all over the tube tonight, every night, and including the Sunday AM shows....taking all the credit.
Will these National Guard troops be eligible for Obamaniac's "Courageous Restraint Medal".....given out for doing nothing in the midst of trouble?

They should be permitted to open fire on Mexican military vehicles (trucks and helicopters) that are routinely drug running into the US.
To: VRWCTexan
The question is will they be used to enforce border security by capturing and detaining anyone who illegally crosses the border?

Wow, one every two miles. Amazing!
Now, how do you fit those 1200 into the existing check points, because that’s where they’ll all wind up?
Remember Bush’s 3,000, that didn’t make one arrest while they were on the border.
