A new KPIX-TV CBS 5 poll of likely Republican primary voters finds that Carly Fiorina has shot to the top of the nomination race for U.S. Senate, and Meg Whitman has retaken a huge lead in the gubernatorial race, as well.
But the latest poll, released Monday, shows Whitman recapturing the lead by 27 points with a 54%-27% advantage over Poizner -- a wild swing of 25 points in less than two weeks.
The poll numbers for the Senate race show Fiorina with 46%, former Congressman Tom Campbell at 23%, and Chuck DeVore at 14%. This represents a 34-point net gain for Fiorina since the last CBS 5 poll released on May 11, which had Campbell leading.

It ain’t a CBS Poll. It’s Survey USA. And its bogus. This is the REAL story:
New CA-Sen poll! Fiorina 28, Campbell 26, DeVore 19. (Hell yes!)

She is our candidate!! Go Carly!! Anyone but BOXER!!!
And another poll shows...
GOP race tightens as June 8 approaches
A poll from Survey USA shows Whitman leading Poizner 39 percent to 37 percent. Poizner jumped 10 points from the previous Survey USA poll taken about two weeks earlier.

The GOP battle to face incumbent US Senator Democrat Barbara Boxer in November remains essentially unchanged. Today, former Congressman Tom Campbell defeats former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, 35% to 24%. State assembly member Chuck DeVore gets 15%. Limited movement since SurveyUSA’s previous poll. 23% are undecided
She is your candidate if you are a stinking RINO
Seems like polls are all over the place.
As they say, the poll that counts is the one on June 8.
Sure, anything CBS says.
Somebody cooked this one a little too long.
Whitman is spending money like she’s got a printing press in each closet at home. At one point I got a forty-eight page color brochure (booklet) from her that was a glossy full color production.
Point of Clarification: Did she run E-Bay or the Denver mint. If it’s the latter, has anyone done an audit since she left. Or is that mint there just to hold her wealth? ;-)
Well, back to the booklet. It was called, Meg 2010 / Building a New California / Meg Whitman’s Policy Agenda.
I’m so sick of wealthy people who haven’t a clue what Conservatism is, buying the big chair in Sacramento.
It’s not jut no for me. It’s hell no for me.
Meg can go fly a kite.
Assuming you’re a conservative CA voter (there are a few of us!), who, then would you vote for, if not Whitman? Poizner? I think not. If conservatives don’t vote, we get a democrat as governor. Isn’t that worse?
When Arnold was first running, I backed him. I didn't really want to, but McClintock was down around 14%, and it seemed to me to be better to have Arnie than a Brown Separatist, Cruz Bustamonte.
Fact is, it probably would have been better to watch Cruz bury the state in debt even further than it was. Then we could at least point to the disaster with clean hands.
As it is, people think we had a Republican in there for seven years. Ah, no we didn't. We had an impostor in there convincing folks we're liars when we say Republicans are more fiscally Conservative and can govern better.
I'm going with DeMint. As for Whitman, gag me. Poizner is a jackass too. I don't think either of them deserve a Conservative's vote, and so I'm thinking seriously of passing by them both.
Here, this is Whitman.
She and Fiorina backed this clown big-time. No thanks...
Anybody but Box-o-rocks.
Let’s give CA to Mexico, France, or Greece. The voters there are too stupid to breathe.
Excellent!
Go Carly!
Some conservatives say there's no difference between a RINO and a rat. From their perspective there is none.
Picture a man on a road looking east. About a mile ahead is a crossroad. Just in front of the intersection is stop sign facing west, and another facing east just beyond the bisecting road. To the man a mile away those signs appear the same height and mass just facing opposite directions. From a far enough distance from the center of the crossroad, even signs further apart would only be imperceptibly different.
Many Freepers resent the RINOs more than the rats. Some conservatives must believe they are a majority of voters in states like CA, NY, MS, PA, or AZ.
RINOS also vote with the Dims, giving them undeserved credibility for their agenda and setting back conservatism instead of promoting it.
Give me a rat over a RINO any day. At least the Rat is clear political target and a known enemy. The last RINO I backed for president handed the presidency to the biggest threat the country has ever seen.
At least Meg Whitman ran her company WELL.
And she has unlimited funds to beat Jerry Brown.
Carly cant say the same thing. The Dems will attack Carly on her HP record, and claim (rightly) that she was fired.
For senate - Vote DeVore.
For Gov - Given that both GOP candidates are RINOs, go with Whitman, she can stop Brown, the other guy cant.
“The last RINO I backed for president handed the presidency to the biggest threat the country has ever seen.”
... which was a Democrat.
Cali is beyond toast if Jerry Brown is Governor.
No that was the voters. Until conservatives can field a candidate who can attract moderate voters with something besides the constitutional arguments moderate voters reject time after time...until then conservatives will have to be content with 9-10 conservatives in the US Senate, Presidential candidates (like Tanc and Hunter) who draw 1-5% support, and complete rat domination.
We played this game in 2006 and 2008 when conservatives decided to teach the GOP a lesson.
