Pittsburgh police arrested three men early yesterday on charges of breaking into Heinz Field.
Adil Minocherhomjee, 22, of La Hoya, Calif., Shazad Mehta, 28, of Elmhurst, Ill. and Neville Medhora, 27, of Austin are accused of climbing a fence to get inside the stadium at Gate A at 6:43 a.m. They were charged with criminal trespass and conspiracy, taken to Allegheny County Jail and released.
Medhora said the trio had attended a wedding at Heinz Field a few hours earlier but were not permitted on the gridiron. Hours later, they were walking by the stadium and thought they could run in and get a quick picture, he said. He said they were able to get on the field before being spotted.
"We thought we could slip in and slip out really quick," Medhora said. "We thought maybe an old man with a flashlight would come after us, but it was the police. We completely underestimated the situation and didn't mean to cause any trouble."

And what harm do you believe they intended?
FGS, what is the big deal.
Undocumented fans.
Yeah, they better check these guys out six ways from Sunday. And then they better double, triple, quadruple check them.
Sorry fellows but that is just the way it needs to be.
BTW, who has a wedding at a football stadium?
And this story does not match the story given in a prior thread, which said one guy had lost his wallet and they were trying to retrieve it.
my mother in law would have rented out a stadium for my wedding, if we had let her.
And I agree, I thought these were just drunk idiots till I read their names.
We were considering Coors Field for my daughter’s wedding.
Her hubby to be went to college on a baseball scholarship.
Right about that time the Mayor of Denver thought that Coors Field should be available for homeless people who were plaguing downtown Denver.
We immeidately crossed that idea off the list and had the wedding at the Brown Palace instead.
I have very little trust of three out of town muslems getting together early in the morning and breaking in to a facility that houses masses of people. This is the second time in the past several years that an event of this nature took place.
It never crossed their minds that having middle eastern names and breaking into a stadium where 10’s of thousands of people gather wouldn’t be.... a really baaaaad idea?
Someone in law enforcement better be looking closely at this one.
FGS, what is the big deal.
Well DUH - they are quite likely MUSLIMS. See a problem yet?
And you used a period at the end of a question - double DUH!
Well then, no muslims ought to be allowed to attend games at Heinz Field.
There, problem solved.

Greenbacks..(per the field).
Works for me. The ROPers should all be sent back to the wonderful 3rd century dictatorial hell holes they come from. They have nothing to offer a civilized society.
It annoys me that most of the stories I’ve read on this matter will not mention terrorism as a possibility. When I raised that issue in a chat room, I was told that I was racist. I personally don’t care about these men’s ethnic background, but in this day and age, sneaking into a public facility to take a photograph (or as another story said, looking for a lost wallet) should set off some alarm bells. I sure hope someone investigating this matter is considering the possibility that this was a prelude to some terrorism plot; if not, then we are definitely screwed.
