The citizen class is horrified.
Were speaking here of those Americans who, while they may disagree on a variety of social and public policy issues, nonetheless agree on a few, crucial matters.
Those of us among the citizen class generally agree that the United States is a good country. While far from perfect, we see our nation as being a place of tremendous opportunity, and a force for goodness around the world.
We also agree that being a U.S. citizen is a significant and distinct thing. While we respect the notion that all human beings are worthy of their basic human rights, we see the rights imparted to citizens of the United States as being something different, something over and above the category of basic human rights.
This is not to say that we are superior people, because we are U.S. citizens. This is, however, the greatest blessing of being a U.S. citizen. It is why so many of us in the citizen class think of our status as a naturally born citizen as being a God-given gift, and we celebrate those who legally earn American citizenship as well.
But along with the distinctiveness of being an American citizen, those of us among the citizen class also regard our nations sovereignty as something that must be safeguarded as well. Political philosophies, governmental structures, and economic systems are not morally neutral some work far better than others. And the structures and institutions and governing philosophies of the United States have produced a far higher level of human flourishing and freedom than any others. For this reason, if for no other, our nation must always be regarded as separate and distinct.
Our nation is good, U.S. citizenship is distinct, and national sovereignty is non-negotiable. In a nutshell, this is the mindset, the worldview, of the citizen class. It has nothing to do with ones ethnicity, or socioeconomic background, or sexual orientation, or gender. It has everything to do with ones most deeply held beliefs.
Not every U.S. citizen possesses the citizen class view (clearly some Americans dont understand the blessing of their status), yet a majority of us still do. And no matter how much we may disagree on other matters, those of us in the citizen class wont budge on these three items.
And this why President Obama has enraged the citizen class. He has planted the seeds of doubt regarding our nations goodness, and has implied that U.S. citizenship, and national sovereignty, are irrelevant.
While an overwhelming majority of the citizen class supports Arizonas effort to uphold the significance of citizenship and sovereignty, President Barack Hussein Obama has sided with the United Nations, Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez, China, and the President of Mexico in opposing the state of Arizona. One would hope that the President of the United States any President of the United States would seek to protect all fifty of the states that he governs from international criticism, even if he didnt happen to like the behavior of one of his states. But our current President stands united with some of the most thuggish regimes in the world, in opposing his fellow Americans of Arizona.
Worse yet, our President not only allowed, but enabled Mexican President Felipe Calderon to publicly humiliate our fellow Americans of Arizona, while standing on the sacred grounds of the White House. And President Obamas party the ruling party in Congress couldnt rise to their feet quickly enough and offer thunderous applause, when Mr. Calderon publicly humiliated Arizona during an address to both the Senate and House last week.
Its nothing short of disgraceful to see the President of the United States undermine us, while the entire world is watching. His behavior has, in no small part, called in to question just how united the United States of America is right now.
Yet in the midst of the disgrace, there are hopeful signs. The citizen class has whole-heartedly rejected the agenda (such that it is) of Barack Obama. It began last November with statewide elections in New Jersey and Virginia, where gubernatorial candidates endorsed by Barack Obama both lost. It moved on to Massachusetts where Obamas choice for U.S. Senate lost to Republican Scott Brown.
And now, evidence of the rejection of Obamas agenda has radiated from Utah, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. And we havent even seen yet how the Presidents trashing of Arizona will impact elections yet to occur.
The louder President Obama and his party cheer, the greater the rage of the citizen class. And the citizen class wont be ignored much longer.
I like it......good stuff at the link on your page, by the way.
Thanks!
Ever listen to Dennis Prager? He's got the answer to that question... we (forgive me, I use that in the most general of terms) are not teaching our children what it is to be an American, we aren't teaching them what America stands for and why we are here in the first place.
By no fault of their own, a lot of parents don't even know themselves. This is what breeds liberalism.
We can continue to blame Obama and Pelosi along with Walmart... but they exist because there is a demand for them. In the end, WE are the cause of the problems and the solution to them as well. It's the place we need to start in order to correct the situation.
Today, I think there might be just enough of us left to outvote this blasphemous trend, but we are losing that battle more every day as we raise children who have no idea what it really means to be American.
We need to ramp up delivery of our message and encourage our children to spread the word as well. We need to teach them how and why to reject the propaganda being fed to them in the classroom and the media.
It's not an overnight fix to our problems, but it's the only solid and lasting way to get our country back on course and going in the direction it was intended. We need to press forward with the great experiment.
Speaking of Dennis Prager, I just started reading the new edition of his “Why The Jews”, which is just a mindblowing, deep, thesis on the roots and history of anti-semitism.
Good addition, Sorry I left that out!
I have 3 children, I have never put up with the victim mentality, ever!! I have never put up with the PC nonsense either.
When one of my sons had to do a report on his Culture we did it on being an American! None of this hyphen crap!
Luckily I have kids that ask questions, and we discuss things, especially the BS they learn in school!
I have found that between them and their friends, they do have a firm grasp on what is going on......none Obama freaks! They are more like Good Ole Boys! LOL!
Americans need to be very vigilant: Obama and his loathsome WH staff are very calculated in their use of power. As dissent among the populace grows, they are capable of plotting staged events to boost their advantage.
If these arch-manipulators perceive there isnt measurable fear in the hearts of the people, they will create that fear to solidify their power. They know people will succumb to fear, and will relinquish their God-given liberties when they are fearful.
“...And the ‘Citizen Class’ won’t be ignored much longer...”
Is he speaking of the “citizen class” contained within that group of brilliant Independents who lean left yet claim to be above it all and middle of the road?; that part of the electorate which thinks that “big oil” is evil and anyone who makes a profit steals it? that part of the electorate which is so soaked with envy that they are willing to vote for leftists who cater to it?
The “citizen class” is slowling disappearing and instead becoming an instrument of the leftists who promote revolutionary zeal through the exploition of well-cultivated hate.
IMHO
The Preamble's "We, the People" means that every provision and protection structured into the limitations on government contained in that Constitution are placed there by what Justice Story called "its only KEEPERS," the "People" of the United States. Every Founder understood that, and generations of Americans have understood the people/government relationship structured by America's Constitution places the people over those elected or appointed to positions of power in their government.
What we have now is a "political elitist class" trying to impose its will on "the People" whom they are intended to serve.
In America, the sovereign power and source of life, liberty, rights, and law was declared by the Founders to be the "Ruler of the Universe," "Creator," "Divine Providence," and "Supreme Judge of the World." All human power not delegated by their Constitution to the branches of government, by its own declaration, was left to the People and the States.
Today, the "political class" needs to be reminded of the appropriate order of things, and that seems to be what TEA Partiers are trying to tell them.
Answer: Demoralization happened!
Yuri Besmenov warned us! Besemonov told us that the communists were hard at work demoralizing our nation. The process is complete. Next step: Destabilization!
Yet...Conservatives have consistently neglected implementing a RATIONAL plan to RE-moralize the nation.
Marxism is our nation's most serious and urgent threat! Marxism is now playing on center stage. Islam is waiting in the green room.
Only a nation whose citizens are fully educated in the principles of their Judeo Christian faith and our nation's founding values will be able to stare down and defeat Marxism and Islam.
Hint: RE-moralization must include shutting down every government K-12 school in the nation. Every government school in this nation teaches children to comfortable with taking their neighbor's money for a service their parents want for tuition=free. Every government school in this nation teaches children to think godlessly. This is EVIL!
Hint: Re-moralization must include giving every child in this nation an opportunity to attend a conservative private school.
My 2 oldest went to public school and were not indoctrinated in the least.
I am homeschooling my youngest because school has gotten to be ridiculous.
My oldest went to government shcool, and at forty years old is a successful husband and father of 6 beautiful children. I homeschooled the younger 3 because by then Maryland government schools were a mess!...( even on the Upper Eastern Shore where we lived.)
Government schools are now so toxic that it is almost child abuse to send a child into one.
My husband and I do tutoring at our church for the Hispanic children in our denomination. ( We both speak Spanish.) These Hispanic children **will** learn to read and do basic math but it will be **entirely** due to the tutoring efforts of the members of our church and the dedication of their parents.
Honestly...Even though we moved 10 years ago and now live in the reddest county of the reddest state in the union, our government schools are pure political correctness, worship mother-earth, anti-capitalism, pro-socialist, all cultures are equal CRAP! And...this is here! We are the end of the road! There is no where else to go in the U.S.!
Likely, most of our neighbors are completely unaware of what is going on in our county's government schools. My husband and I know because we run the cub scout troop for the Hispanic congregation and tutor the Hispanic kids.
By the way....The Anglo kids are likely struggling too and being feed daily doses of Marxist PC poison! Unless their parents are doing nearly 100% of the work by “afterschooling” theses kids will not learn to read or do arthimetic and they will likely grow up to dedicated Marxists.
Some teachers don't go for this kind of crap; I know several. My kids will be using my grandfather's textbooks at home for reference.
There is hope. Dim, but there is still hope.
It poses some interesting problems for the Marxists. The more successful they are moving forward with Marxism, the poorer we all become. The main reason they have gotten as far as they have is because we are a fat, happy and lazy society, for the most part. What I am trying to say is their success will be their undoing. As it is their corruption is growing more brazen and we are quickly reaching a point where holding this all together can only be done by use of terror on the citizens. History is our guide.
Well...As Yuri Besmenov stated the next step is: Destabilization!
Some teachers don’t go for this kind of crap; I know several.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Some?...It isn’t enough to make a difference.
Demoralization is complete. Next step: Destabilization!
