Maybe you should spell out sarcasm in big, bold, underlined letters ?

Thanks for your clarification to the few who did not get the sarc tag..

Hold your cheers, Djou is a RINO, this is no victory /s.

That was sarcasm he was doing there. He was making fun of the fact that even when we win, someone claims they’re a Rino or a Paul nut or whatever. Some Freepers would be upset if you hung them with a new rope.

That is so true and why I do not have as much hope as I did for Nov.

It took awhile for most to even notice that is was sarcasm”

I too wondered why so many FReepers did not notice/catch on that it was a nice piece of sarcasm....and well done I think.
Anyway my Irish Eyes are a smilin’ tonight. I could not vote for Djou because he is in district 1 (Oahu), and here on The Big Island (district 2) we are stuck with Mazie Hirono, who is a completely empty headed twit.

Mazie lives in District 1....always has. How she represents the Outer Islands is a mechanical manipulation by the old Burn’s Machine.

I’m thrilled in part because he’s a Trojan, having graduated from USC law school. My daughter graduated from USC (undergrad) last week!

Well, I’m cheering. He may be a rino (in your opinion) but he’s not a dem. It’s a victory.

What makes FR unreadable to me at times are the one line prophets. No one knows what state this country will be in in 5 months. No one knows what the next election will bring. But on EVERY thread, there is someone (often a number of them) taking their precious time to write one or sometimes two sentences in which they predict defeat.

Scott Brown was never going to be anything but an Barry butt buddy but he’s still better than his opponent. He voted against death care and that’s probably the last time he won’t cave. Collins, Snowe and Brown are scumbags.

Healthcare
I recognize that healthcare costs are increasing too fast in our country and that too many of our fellow citizens remain uninsured. I will consider any sensible idea for making healthcare work better in America. But any change to our healthcare system must address the spiraling costs and insure more Americans without limiting heath options or harming the doctor-patient relationship. For these reasons, “I support market-based healthcare reforms that work. What is needed is tort reform. I have long supported a limit on non-economic damages for medical malpractice. Tort reform is long over due and I will fight for a $250,000 cap or three times economic damages for medical malpractice awards to help reduce the need for “defensive” medicine and bring down the cost of malpractice insurance. I also support allowing the sale of inter-state health insurance. Just two carriers provide over 90% of all health insurance in Hawaii, which reduces competition. Finally, we need to rethink the way we tax health insurance. The current structure of health insurance in the U.S. is an anachronism dating back to WWII. Rather than have corporations as the sole providers of health insurance, we should instead allow for individual tax deduction of health insurance and make the health insurance market a more “normal” individual choice.”

The problem is they are lying. They campaign like they are conservatives. Just how the heck are we suppose to win when we keep being handed RINOS?

Did you not notice this when McCain was shoved down your throat? You should be madder than heck.

Hold on!! If you look at Djou’s voting record on the Honolulu City Council you wouldn’t call him a RINO. He’s a fiscal conservative, a Capt. in the Army Reserves, husband and father and an open verbal opponent of Obama’s socialist policies. He ran stating that he would “oppose Obama’s policies”.

Wow! I wonder how the media will spin this. Makes me think the folks that elected a rat in PA-12 are really a bunch of fools.

We need to take the election results apart into minute pieces, find the proof of cheating then prosecute and demand a new election. You can be sure that the rat machine was turned on high. We need to cram a monkey wrench in it.

I don't think that we have the remotest idea of how deep and vast rat cheating is. It's time to spend the money and take an election or two apart and find out what's in it.

On Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, my position is based on my experience as an Army
Reserve officer. In my opinion, this policy does little to further US
national security. I have personally seen it abused by straight soldiers
who re-enlist for a bonus and then suddenly ‘discover’ they are gay when
the Reserve unit mobilizes for Iraq or Afghanistan. For me, “Don’t Ask
Don’t Tell” is a failed policy, not a moral decision. The military already
has strict anti-fraternization rules and I believe those rules are
sufficient to apply to both straight and gay soldiers.
