"The international order we seek is one that can resolve the challenges of our times,'" he said in prepared remarks. "Countering violent extremism and insurgency; stopping the spread of nuclear weapons and securing nuclear materials; combating a changing climate and sustaining global growth; helping countries feed themselves and care for their sick; preventing conflict and healing its wounds."
"Yes, we are clear-eyed about the shortfalls of our international system. But America has not succeeded by stepping outside the currents of international cooperation," he said. "We have succeeded by steering those currents in the direction of liberty and justice -- so nations thrive by meeting their responsibilities, and face consequences when they don't."
But he said civilians must answer the call of service as well, by securing America's economic future, educating its children and confronting the challenges of poverty and climate change. He said the country must always pursue what he called the "universal rights" rooted in the Constitution.

You should give the West Point cadets more credit than you do. They are keenly aware of what is going on in the world and are largely conservative in their political views. They showed discipline because it is expected of them and it is what is ingrained in them during their four years at West Point. Trust me, few are on O’s side on this and his speech went over like turd in a punch bowl.
There is not one paragraph, nor one phrase in this entire speech that stands out more than any other. The entire speech is a timeless painting. It is so exquisite and so full of sincerety and meaning and ageless truth. It is one of the greatest speeches of all time, each word memorable made even moreso by the hypocrisy we heard/read today.
Thank you for posting it. As many times as I have read it, it still tightens my throat and brings tears to my eyes.
Thanks for a great post....and a great read!
” Pushing America toward internationalism and global govt will lead to CW2. “
And the Obamunist is pushing hard.
I guess this narcissist pig doesnt realize that more and more Americans are coming to despise him.
Let's hope we can change that from despise to depose.
depose [dih-pohz'] -verb
1. to remove from office or position, esp. high office: The people deposed the dictator.
This guy is a four year trainwreck.
This man is frightening!
LOL - thanks for the definition, but I knew that one. :)
“This man is frightening!”

I think this is much less about capability, and much more about national will and approach to the problem.
The liar! Obama is sickening — claims he has done more in the war on terror than Bush.
“Though we have had more success in eliminating al Qaeda leaders in recent months than in recent years,”
But you have to remember, they killed one guy twice, mehsud three times and he’s back for the fourth try. They “killed” alwaki once, gadahn twice, and I forget who else is till laughing at us.
This is just a Washington Pus commercial for the Obama Dictator Regime! Burn it.
“Rather tan MacArthur Obama at West Point should be compared to Benedict Arnold.”
Huh? That you, Satan?
I have no problem with being corrected .. even chastised .. because of my thoughts or views.
It's just that life in America seems to be so much more complicated and difficult these days.
I just got back from the DMV to provide a BC for my son after he passed his written (He is now a permit holder ... no test for 6 months and 50 hrs documented driving experience)
I had given, by accident, a certificate of birth (I have NO idea why I would even HAVE such a thing .. but I do .. ), and I had to go back and get the BC.
When I returned, I asked for giggles and laughs (They don't, btw), what wouyld happen if you HAD accepted the certificate?
It was like asking Rahm Emmanuel to say radical muslim ... hemmed and hawed all over the place .. federal law, I would never do anything I knew was illegal etc.
I dropped the whole thing
Nothing's changed .. the embeds are still there.
“The international order we seek is one that can resolve the challenges of our times.....”
The audacity of this global midget to proselytize this internationalist gibberish to cadets is astounding considering the rate at which he cannot even comport to honor the most basic of pledges to protect the USA and its Constitution clearly laid forth in the oath of office.
