Arkansas Democrats still have to pick their candidate in a June 8 runoff, but for now Republican John Boozman holds sizable leads over both his potential rivals in the states U.S. Senate race.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Arkansas, taken Wednesday night, shows Boozman, the winner of Tuesdays state GOP Primary, with 66% support in a match-up with Senator Blanche Lincoln. The Democratic incumbent picks up just 28% of the vote. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate in the race, and four percent (4%) are undecided.
If Lieutenant Governor Bill Halter is his opponent, Boozman, currently the states only GOP congressman, earns 60% of the vote to the Democrats 33%. Four percent (4%) like someone else in the race, and three percent (3%) remain undecided.

These numbers are incredible. I can’t remember when I’ve seen an incumbent run so poorly.
DAYUM
I have trouble believing Boozeman could win by more than 2-1.
Halter also loses big.
Nixon for President in 1972 was the biggest margin ever for a Republican running in Arkansas. It was about 69-31. Looks like Boozeman could possibly get to second on the list (Reagan in 84 won by 32 points).
These numbers and some of the others by this pollster seem to good to be true. But, I hope they are.
if Boozman inserts icecubs in his shirt, could it be said he’s “on the rocks”????
I guess, but it sounds kinda gay, so we probably would avoid it. :)
Actually thought we had a chance to take that seat in 2004 but she pulled it out. Dems are on life support for that Senate seat!
