Irate with a reporter's question on the effectiveness of the city's handgun ban, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley offered to give a first-hand lesson following the shooting of an off-duty police officer.
Oh, it's been very effective," Daley said, according to MyFoxChicago.com. "If I put this up your butt, you'll find out how effective it is. If I put a round up your
you'll know."

I still can’t get over the way he closed Meigs Field - you can bet he got some kickbacks over that.

If somebody shot Rich Daley in the butt, he’d die of brain damage.

I think it is ironic that he displays the attitude and actions of gang-bangers (don’t be dissin’) and picks up a gun to threaten.
I wonder if the reporter can get DaMare arrested for this? I sure as hell would try!

There was no mention of the fact that the father of the officer that was killed shot two of the criminals killing one of them. Wasn’t it a good thing that the father had a gun?? Otherwise the father would have been killed as well and the bad guys would never be caught. Dailey is the biggest pinhead in the country. God I hate this state.

He knows he can get away with making the threat because he’s made it impossible for the reporter to have a gun, too.

I’m shocked - shocked I tell you. I wonder what his reaction would be if someone were to take him at his word with a reciprocal response?

In a perfect universe, Daley would meet the same fictionalized end as did Frank Nitti in The Untouchables.
[shout out to Billy Drago for a fantastic performance as Nitti]
Although the real Frank Nitti off'd himself with a .32 revolver.

That's it in a nutshell right there. We have far too many people in this country who deal with the issues as if they were a mile wide and a millimeter deep.

I’m sorry to say it, but as a Missouri guy I stay out of Illinois, and I would certainly never go to Chicago because of their idiotic gun laws. I prefer to stay in places that allow you to defend yourself.
To think that I have to unload my gun and keep the ammo separate just because I crossed a river is too much stupidity to take.

Not possible. If you took Daley’s brains out and shoved them up a nat’s @ss, it would look like a bb in a boxcar.
