I’m at a loss. I know they have to pander to Latinos ahead of the midterms, especially with amnesty D.O.A. in the Senate. But I don’t see how applauding a foreign leader — whose country is almost singlehandedly responsible for America’s endless immigration battles — for slamming a fantastically popular state law is a net gain in votes. They’ve already been saddled with the narrative that they can’t stop apologizing for America; you’d think they’d try extra hard here to simply sit in respectful silence while he does his shpiel rather than leaping out of their seats to grandstand. As it is, I guess they … really can’t stop apologizing for America, even when the optics involved are poisonous to their own electoral interests.

Hernandez stated on broadcast TV that he is for the North American Union, and the “Amero” to replace the dollar within 10 years or so.......he said exactly the same thing on Fox News in 2007.

The hypocrisy by Calderon and the libs is gigantic, yet they see no problem or contradiction in their positions. Would libs ever criticise Mexico for it`s immigration laws? NEVER! They SUPPORT Mexico`s immigration laws and would claim that any criticism of them is racist.
That is exactly why there was so much secrecy over the Mexican state dinner. They live in opulence and expect to continue to do so on the backs of our hard labor.
To say to the nation here are the priorities of your Democratic Representatives, supporting a foreign President and sanctioning a genuine illegal invasion of sovereign US territory? To make this a nationally exposed act by the Democrats? To write letters of indignation to the President, Secretary of State, party chairmen, asking for their apology to the legitimate American taxpayer?
Hardly.

The caller was absolutely right. That is exactly what the Republicans should have done!

the video of congressmen applauding the slamming of the US, by a foreign leader, would make a nice campaign commercial in the fall. “here is what your Congressman , feels about illegal immigration” and a shot of them doing the bobble head cheer and clap
