After appearing before Congress and attacking Arizonas new illegal immigration law, Mexican president Felipe Calderón appeared on CNN to talk shop with Wolf Blitzer. Blitzer, rather surprisingly, turned the tables on the president, opting to ask him instead about his countrys immigration laws, and whether they were just as strict (if not stricter) than Arizonas. Calderón admitted that laws were stringent in the past but clarified that it is currently not illegal to be undocumented in Mexico.
Citing a Washington Times article explaining Mexican immigration laws that incriminated those who willfully participated in illegal immigration or helped illegal immigrants, Blitzer asked President Calderón to contrast those laws with Arizonas. Calderón replied that, while the Times assessment used to be true, it is no longer, and immigration cannot be illegal in Mexico. Of course, on the border, we are asking people Who are you? explained Calderón, and Once they are inside the country, what the Mexican police do is, of course, enforce the law, but any means immigration is a crime anymore in Mexico
if someone does that, we find them and sending [sic] them back.

Felipe probably doesn’t care about his illegals since most of them are just passing through on their way to the USA, where everything is free for the taking and they give you money just for being alive.
Even if they got some kind of pro forma hearing, it's still Mexico. To describe the Mexican judiciary as a kangaroo court would be generous, and insulting to kangaroos.
I have read, although have no way of knowing to a certainty, that the Mexican Army will shoot at people crossing their border on the South. I wonder how Mr. Calderon would feel if we adopted a commensurate policy on their Northern border.
Wolf, love you man, I will watch CNN tonight for the first time in years. Way to go Wolf!
:<)
Mark Levin went through the Mexican immigration laws yesterday. They are as tough as ever. He is a lawyer. He should know. I think Calderon is lying.
When they go rogue (off teleprompter) we see behind their masks.
Imagine what kind of country we could have if all of the press loved America.
I forget who said it. Some conservative talk show host or someone said most of the lib talkers on TV are garbage but they said Wolf was the only one who was ethical and decent. I think Beck said the rest were scum but he said Wolf had integrity. The questions to Calderon were damn good. Note - I am not a Wolf fan but kudos this time.
I want to say it was Glenn Beck. I really am not a Beck fan since he moved to Fox/Saudia. Beck was better at CNN but when I had TV I only watched him a few times. I avoided CNN. Once in a blue moon would watch Lou Dobbs.
Godo God
does 0dumbo really think people are that stupid? CNN will catch hello from 0dumbo for this but it will also blow the lid off the crap 0dumbo and Dems are trying to pile on Arizona.
I LOVE it
It made me sick to see dems give calderon a standing ovation after he trashed Az
Blitzer didn’t ask Calderon if he wore boxers or briefs? CNN is falling down on the job.
The lame ass overpaid republicans couldn’t come up with that, they left it to Completely Communist News to have to ask such a hard question.... We are sooooo screwed.
I love it when Calderon says: “We are trying to write a new story, talking about immigrants, especially coming from Central American countries.”
Why should he worry? They’re all just passing through, headed for the U.S. anyhow, and will probably provide employment for Mexican coyotes.
Wow. Blitzer asks a relevant question. And Repubs sit and listen to someone diss our country and don’t even get up and walk out. Pitiful.
Steels should go to Ct and have a mutual resignation with Blumenthal. One pretended to have served in Nam the other to have served the Republican party.
Ping!
How screwed up is Central America that anyone would want to sneak into Mexico?
Have you ever seen this man before?
nuff said.
But that’s South America!
I call BS on El Presidente Calderon. He's been hanging around Obama for 2 days and he becomes a pathological liar. Maybe it's contagious.
I would like even a tame response by Steele. Something along the lines that the Republican Party rejects in principle any comments by foreign leaders who are guests on American soil who criticize the policies and actions by lawfully elected political leaders.
