FORT WALTON BEACH An 18-year-old woman was arrested May 3 on charges of retail theft.
The Hooters waitress was found to have stolen two bras from Kohls on Beal Parkway, according to an Okaloosa County notice to appear.
The bras were valued at $60.
Work is noble even if the person is working at hooters.
You just won’t concede that a mother has a right to not want her daughter working there, will you? work is noble, and some work is more noble than others. drug dealing and prostitution are work of a sort too.
The last time I checked, women showed more skin at a typical beach than they do in their hooters uniform.
Nothing wrong with an establishment like Hooters, nor is there anything wrong for a mother to think its not an appropriate place of employment for her daughters. Not wanting your daughters to work there doesnt mean it should be banned.
I have a 21 yo and 16 yo daughter, neither of them would dream of working there and not because they arent cute with nice figures either.
Wow, where do I begin.
Uh before you comment on my post, I suggest you get the gist of what I was saying and NOT put “words in my mouth (post)”?! I NEVER SAID Hooters should be BANNED?! What are you talking about?
I said I don’t want my kids working there and I don’t like the premise, but I said said if free market supports it, so be it. In a free country, I have the right to not support Hooters just as much as you have the right to think it is a wonderful place—tho interesting that you say your own “daughters would not dream of working there..”.
But, had you read my posts from the beginning instead of seemingly pouncing incorrectly on one post, you would see that my main point is this was waste of thread space over a mere $60 worth of cheap bras shoplifted from Kohls—only noteworthy because a Hooters waitress is the one who shoplifted....and the “tack-i-fying” of FR with lots of sexually suggestive pics and posts. This is my opinion—it is a free country and I can have it, but I never said Hooters or certain threads should be banned.
My point about wasted thread still stands.
In my new posts alert to your post, I think I misread what you were saying and you were addresssing another poster? —I apologize if you were not saying that I wanted Hooters banned.
As I read my comment on thread and saw that you had directed it to another as well, I think my comments should have been directed elsewhere—again, sorry if I misunderstood.
and i did not remotely say it was. i merely said some work is more noble than others. you don’t appear able to cede the point that parents would prefer their daughters aspire to jobs where their brains rather than their breasts are featured. i am assuming you don’t have a daughter.
please re-read my posts, i was defending your point of view as a mother that there are worthier places of employ than hooters restaurants for girls.
geez, last time i try to stick up for you!! LOL~!
Just my two cents.
Fair enough, I see your point.
She’s got Marty Feldman eyes.
oh my God - who says it all about the breasts?!?!? Did you ever see those shorts, woman????
My favorite non-existent Weird Al parody of a Kim Carnes song...
and while i agree with bushwon, that moms can hope for better than their daughters, i agree with you that we need silly, funny, distracting threads, otherwise we would all be suicidal because of how grim things are these days. i have been here since 1998, and we have always had fun with threads like this, the devil’s panties thread comes to mind, along with others.
a very welcome distraction, based on how often some people are feeling the need to post on this thread
you are an unbelievable dork. and i mean that in the best possible way.
Note to self: work on my dork credibility...
“GUILTY”
A few pints would give me reasonable doubt.
you’ll have to run that by the internet jargon review board
