Shockingly, Arnold Schwarzenegger Compares California To Greece, Ireland, And Spain

Okay, so it's not just us.

At his big press conference yesterday, where he announced "absolutely terrible" budget cuts in California, Arnold Schwarzenegger went there, comparing his state to the PIIGS of Europe.

His exact quote, via Reuters: "You see what is happening in Greece, you see what is happening in Ireland, you see what is happening in Spain now... We are left with nothing but tough choices."

You have to admire his candidness. He's right, after all.

Among the "tough choices" include the eliminating of CalWORKS, state-funded child-care programs, In-Home Supportive Services, Health Families program and 5% pay cut for state workers. This is going to go down horribly.

Arnold is doing this so a dem will be elected. They will use Arnold the republican who took away welfare services in tough times.

Arnold is playing for Obama now. He is on his team. A lot of this Arnold wants to cut obama has federal programs for. California will turn over to fed control easier this way.

I feel badly for all those parents who will turn over their children to Obama’s birth to adult schools for indoctrination.

I think you forgot MI. I think our unemployment rate is the worst in the nation. Notice it’s the blue states that are in trouble.

He’s trying to divert attention from the obvious comparison: Mexico.

With the tax situation in California the people with buisnesses are leaving. Now without adequet tax revenue to pay for all of the handouts, all of the welfare recepients will be headed for New Mexico and Texas. California will be able so solve its problem by causing mass migration from california to Texas....possibly....perhaps....?

The suggested “harsh” budget cuts will take spending levels all the way back to those of 2008.

Whoop-dee-doo.

In other news, California is still soon to be dead.
