No money for you, NY ("Obama to New York: Drop dead." Security funds cut by $53 million, 27%)

That was the message Team Obama sent -- loud and clear -- yes terday in slashing anti-terror funding for the city.

The local congressional reps -- Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer and Reps. Jerrold Nadler and Carolyn Maloney, etc. -- have been such lapdogs for President Obama (at New York's expense), why wouldn't his team feel free to hang the city out to dry?

Under the plan, the feds will slice Gotham-area funds for transit and port security by $53 million -- 27 percent.

Never mind what happened less than two weeks ago -- when a terrorist parked a ticking bomb smack in the heart of Times Square.

AP Charles Schumer Never mind that the city suffered far more than anywhere else on 9/11 -- and today remains Target No. 1 for jihadists.

The Times Square attack -- if not the plots against local subways, bridges, synagogues, you name it -- should have reminded Obama & Co. where to set up its first line of defense. (Hint: It's not Pascagoula, Miss., which will get $1 million in port-security funding alone.)

Nor is there any doubt that terrorist operations aimed at New York are as broad-based as they are deadly. Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad, for example, says he was trained in far-off Pakistan.

And yesterday, FBI agents raided sites in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Maine in connection with Shahzad's attack. (Three people were arrested, though it wasn't clear if any played an active role in the Times Square plot. )

And since attacks on New York are meant to hurt the whole nation, Washington has a duty to provide it.

PC thinking to the very end. Zero needs money for his communist schemes, so NY can fend for itself. Hey, it’s rich enough, all those ‘Jews’, you know. If those latest bomb attempts had been successful or if the target had been the WH, he’d have to rethink allocation of funds. Meanwhile we have ‘courageous restraint’ medals foisted on the military and the so far gullible public. God forbid we kill any Jihadists/Islamic fiends. We won’t even name the enemy. If we bow down, appease them, they’ll ‘like’ us. PC thinking is getting Americans killed, whether it’s old people or the very young, the inconvenient, etc.. Feed the tiger and he won’t eat you. All this is in the context of Zero’s Muslim religion and Marxist roots, not to mention his Kenyan birth and African loyalties.

I watched that youtube video of the Swedish filmmaker being attacked by a rabid Muslim mob over a showing of his film depicting Mohammed in less than laudatory terms. (However, being gay is okay now, so I don’t know what they had to complain about.) The actions of the Muslims, their attitudes...you’d never ever be able to talk sense into them. They don’t want to live ‘side by side’. They want Islam to take over the world. Why? Because for generations and with good reason they’ve felt inferior. The Malmo bunch were living in Sweden, of course, amongst native blonde Swedes. You can imagine the envy, rage. “Why should my relatives rot in some hellhole in the Middle East without a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of, while these blonde good-for-nothings have it all.” So Sweden is up to its eyeballs in rapes of blonde women, areas police dare not go, demands for sharia, etc.. genital mutilation of women, degradation of same.

Zero can’t wait to import that here, but with communism as the icing on the cake. America, in his words, nothing special, has a duty to give the fruits of its labor to the rest of the world. The poor, well, anyone Zero deems needy. Muslims are the top of that particular list, so after Islam takes over here and buries Christianity once and for all, he’ll send American troops into Africa to ‘fix’ things. These people, Africans and Middle Easterners, Muslims, need wholesale brain transplants, not a shout out from Zero and the last dime out of your wallet before they blow your brains out. November can’t come too soon.

That makes you the latest one to buy into this charade. Your risk assessment is flawed. How do you get to the City? In absolute certainty, more people will die today in car accidents than could have possibly died from a small car bomb in Times Square. Many more people will be maimed and injured in car accidents today than would have been anywhere near that SUV a few weekends ago. What is the best way to keep the government from reducing expenses? Threaten the most politically powerful group(s) with spending cuts. The hew and cry is predictable. Even the rightist NY Post plays right into it.

Do you ever wonder why your local government proposes salary and staff reductions for police, fire, and teachers when budget crunch time comes? Because they have no intention of cutting those expenses. The pols know that the hew and cry will give them cover to keep paying and raise tax revenues instead. Someone else posted here to cut 27% of everything -- now that would actually be effective. Do you believe for a minute that public entities are efficient in the context of money-cost versus service provided? A real manager would be able to squeeze 27% out of the waste fraud and abuse that is government service.
