I use to love getting off the NY turnpike and getting fuel at a Seneca Reservation fuel stop. Nothing like filling up 2 100gal tanks!

Dumba$$s mad a deal with the devil!

No longer is it the white man alone who speaks with forked tongue. Mulatto’s do too.

Obama’s Indian name should be “Walking Eagle” (too full of sh*t to fly!)

Seneca to Obama: ‘You betrayed our trust’ so we might not vote for you in 2012. We haven't made up our minds yet ...

Someone posted an excellent article that analyzed obama and his mother's influence on young Barry. She was an anthropologist who from an early age taught Barry the tricks of the trade.

Anthropologists need to be able to go into a studied population and interact. They do this in part by being nonthreatening, by understanding how to appear to be just like those who are being studied, but not reveal themselves or what they are doing. obama is a master.

Seeing obama as someone who uses an anthropological skill set to weasel his way into a community or political office helped me to see how he has been so effective getting where he has despite not having any sort of resume or list of accomplishments.

You’re referring to the Five Civilized Tribes, the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, and Seminole in the South, who by the early 1800’s had adopted to varying degrees the white lifestyle and integrated into the American economy, even to the extent of establishing plantations and owing black slaves (though they were never many). Unfortunately, integrating with the Euro-American culture did not protect them from covetousness on the part of the government and both Presidents Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren pushed through and enforced over several decades the various Indian Removal Acts.

To be certain, sometimes it was a case of two aggressive powers. The bloodsoaked history of the Texans and Commanches reminds me of nothing so much as the Boers and the Zulus, the Commanches having established themselves in Texas only a half-century before the waning power of Mexico failed to prevent the Texas Republic from being born. In that case, by some accounts, neither party really wanted peace and it was an intermittent conflict of ruthless raiding by both sides until the U.S. Army took over the job.

They were placed on reservations because they couldn't vote, be taxed, or bribe politicians, and little else. It was easier, safer, and most of all profitable- to put the Indians on reservations than it was to put squatters in jail.

The same government takes modern Americans' land for much the same reasons using eminent domain, or by raising taxes to force you to sell. Who do you think your Mayor, Governor and congressmen serve? You, who pays the tax on a house and a lot, or the devoloper, whose mall, baseball stadium or whatever else he builds will fill the city coffers and the politicians' pockets more abundantly than you?

Which reminds me. I just saw “Avatar” on DVD. I recommend everybody should see it just once.

I can already think of the perfect sequel. If Mother Earth is such a s***thole when the story takes place I can conceive of a continuing story wherein entirely private, unauthorized colonizing expeditions land here-and-there on Pandora wherein desperate human settlers with nothing to lose or go home to, use the recently developed Avatar technology to take on Na’avi bodies like in the first movie and dispose of their human ones (being too poor to keep them in cold storage) and set about conquering Pandora to suit their tastes. Seizing the unobtainum mineral by hook-or-by-crook, no matter how many of them got et’ by the multicolored monsters or pierced by Na’avi arrows. Ruthlessly exterminating the natives as needed.

That would be an all-too-believable story line.

In part that is what I’m referring to. The book on this story:

Also, Chief Joseph is another study in civility you might enjoy.

“Too late, clown. It’s already happened. Now go peddle your revisionist history somewhere else.”

Take some time off from throwing your feces and read some history instead of getting it from Dances with Wolves. Indians were called SAVAGES for a reason.
