Feds Arrest 3, Possibly Tied To Bomb Plot (Illegal Aliens here despite being ordered out)

Federal authorities have arrested three men living in the greater Boston area in connection with the attempted Times Square bombing, Fox News has learned.

FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Thursday morning executed search warrants in "several locations in the Northeast," a statement from ICE said......................

One of the men arrested Thursday has been charged with overstaying his visa, and another, identified as Pir Khan, has been charged with staying in the country despite an order of removal, according to one source. The third man was also arrested for alleged immigration violations, a source said.

In a 2002 case in South Carolina, a Pakistani man named Pirdad Khan was ordered to leave the United States after pleading guilty to entering the United States illegally and "concealment of facts."

The problem with ICE...they don’t do a damn thing...

Not to rip you, but you wouldn't believe what these guys are tasked with. All sorts of support missions for other agencies that really have nothing to do with Immigration or Customs.

Need help with that High Intensity Drug Task Force? Get some ICE guys. Need help with a money laundering operation? Get some ICE guys. Training operation for an H1N1 outbreak? Get some ICE guys. Plus, a LARGE portion of ICE man power is allotted to guarding Federal Buildings. (Not that that personnel would be better off assisting on core issues, they're just assigned to ICE to swell the numbers).

If we'd actually task them the right way - work place raids, etc. They probably could put a dent in the problem. But as it is, they're helping out FDA, FAM, DOS, IRS, and any myriad of other agencies.

I think they were in a sanctuary state called NY where they keep trying to bomb stuff.

Not a big deal to them .... a catch and release state. They are probably free by now planning their next hit.

Obviously it will take more than 3,000 dead to change things.

Meanwhile visas overstays take well paid middle class jobs by working through temp agencies, unburdened by the onerous levels of taxation born by US tax payers.

Pretty soon states will need to seal borders with other states just to keep white tea-baggers out and keep the undocumented Muslims and their weapons safe and secure.

Regarding the Time Square would be bomber, I'm so sick of reporters bemoaning home grown terrorism. Faisal Shahzad grew up in an upper middle class family in Pakistan, attended school here, most likely on a J-1 (student visa) which morphed into a H-1B or L-1 guest worker visa, attended a radical mosque in Conn, married a US citizen, got his citizenship, quit his job, abandoned his mortgage, and then went to Pakistan for terrorist training.

Has it yet occurred to any one that if we had secure borders, gave immigration the tools and staff to scrupulously evaluate all visa requests in an accurate and timely manner, and tracked the entry and exit of various visas, this would have been largely prevented?

No, we must step up the scrutiny and micro managing - more cameras, more private info scarfed up and stored, more PC intrusive searches of nuns and little old people at airports, etc. / end rant

What’s an “order of removal” - if nobody enforces it? Ask Bambi’s Auntie Zeituni. She’s been hanging out in Boston for years, even after having gone through court proceedings ordering her out of the country.

Even that did not work. They have not learned the lessons from 9/11 nor any of the terrorists activity in the U.S. before or after. Apparently, it will take more than 3000 deaths to impress our congress.
