Carrie Severino of the conservative group Judicial Crisis Network is a staunch Obama opponent when it comes to judges, and she is quick to detail why Elena Kagan is unsuitable for the Supreme Court.
But Ms. Severino's views are different when she recalls her days at Harvard Law School while Ms. Kagan was dean.
"She was a very effective dean," Ms. Severino said. "Dean Kagan treated the conservative student organizations not like they were some kind of pesky fly but rather serious organizations."
Ms. Kagan's six years as Harvard law dean form one of her most important credentials for the Supreme Court post, as President Barack Obama made clear when he nominated her Monday.

Beyond the political atmosphere, Ms. Kagan is credited with improving student life through upgrades to the physical campus, such as a revamped student center, an upgraded gym and an ice-skating rink that doubled as a volleyball court. And she offered small things, like free coffee outside classrooms and free tampons in the women's restrooms.
"Harvard was not a warm and fuzzy place. It was a tough experience for many, and in a variety of ways large and small she focused energy on the question how can we improve the student experience," Mr. Mnookin said.

Whether it be health care, food, your mortgage, coffee, or tampons.
She certainly looks happy in that photo.
What a nightmare this woman is.
"A society deadened by a smothering network of laws while finding release in moral chaos is not likely to be either happy or stable."
"An egalitarian educational system is necessarily opposed to meritocracy and reward for achievement. It is inevitably opposed to procedures that might reveal differing levels of achievement."
"Being 'at the mercy of legislative majorities' is merely another way of describing the basic American plan: representative democracy."
"I don't think the Constitution is studied almost anywhere, including law schools. In law schools, what they study is what the court said about the Constitution. They study the opinions. They don't study the Constitution itself."
Which side of the plate does she hit from?
The Socialists side.
Actually, I’d hazard to guess that the ‘plate’ to which you refer is a piece of carpet...
Excellent post. Thank you.
This Communist needs to be stopped.
No fooling around with her nomination.
Once I figured out Butch would subvert the First Amendment, Free Speech censorship, I was finished with the bulldyke.
Exactly, I don’t give a rat’s patoot what she’s given away, it’s how she thinks that scares the crap out of me. She has no real understanding of the First Amendment, and why it’s important.
She’s obviously seen as a potential willing stooge to Obama and Co., and will call them before making any judgements, if seated. This woman is a menace to the entire country.
Free Tampons! Someone tell Rahm (”Take out your f****** tampon . . .”) Emannuel.
We need her “Anita Hill” Where is National Inquirer”? We need some girl she came on to in her office. JUST ONE!! and it is Clarence Thomas time!!
