It’s the same garbage over at Free Republic as well. (snip) ...who enjoy posting pictures with a “fudge-packing” theme

I agree. Freepers should stop posting the image below:

I always find it interesting that these nitwits can never say what they mean in 500 words or so. Why does it take them so MANY words to get their point across???? (if they HAVE a point, that is)

“First of all, if you, in the year 2010, are making fudge-packing jokes, there’s a 99% chance you are gay yourself “

Source?

Also it is weird that you defend homosexuality by repeatedly accusing your critics of being gay.

“John McCain would be president today if 6 million Republicans hadn’t sat their sorry butts home on Election Day 2008, “to teach the GOP a lesson”.”

You’re absolutely right. The United States is now in very real danger becoming a totalitarian thugocracy, devoid of rule of law and the right to the pursuit of happiness. And if John McCain were now president, that we would be in no such peril, even though conservatives would have plenty else to grumble about.

Once the United States loses it’s identity as a free country where the rights of government are limited, groups considered of no immediate use to “society” will be expendable (think old people who will be denied health care for the “greater good”). It will be only a matter of time for the “inferior races” and the “defective” or “deviant” groups to be either terminated or phased out by forceful methods.

So what if Republican party includes some religious fundamentalists who think all homosexuals will end up in hell? Most Republicans are conservatives or libertarians who are all about limiting the power of government. Conservatives, by nature, are people who in live and let live. They are self reliant and not prone to call on government to enforce “fairness”.

“Fairness” legislation is a two edged sword, and poses a far greater a danger to minority groups than the momentary psychological benefit they might gain by seeing someone punished for making some slur. Consider Hitler’s final solution to the fact that a Jewish minority had a disproportionate share of Germany’s wealth. This is government’s way of enforcing “fairness”. By contrast, there’s the conservative approach. Milton Freedman’s take on the persistence of anti semitism was that people who hate one another will cooperate to make money.

Gays ought to stop needlessly promoting resentment against their own kind. Abandon this drive to make “gay marriage” legal. Legalizing gay marriage is just another leftist device to deconstruct the traditions that perpetuate American civilization. And ending “don’t ask don’t tell” will lead to gay exhibitionism by gay activists, destroying morale.

Vote Republican. Vote for limited government so you too can continue to live and let live.

This is a curious rant. Hillbuzz disapproves of juvenile name calling, petty insults and stereotyping but engages in the same.

Here’s the thing... Speaking for myself.... I DON’T CARE! What they do in their bedroom is as important to me as what they eat for breakfast.

Live your life. Do your thing. Have at it. Whatever floats your boat. Just stop demanding my affirmation and approval and quit with the name calling and accusations when I won’t give it.

It is far better to have zero tolerance for sexual perversion, such as BGLT movements, than to ignore or condone their behavior.

Show me where McCain lost by narrow margins in large enough states to swing the election and I may start to accept some of the premises of this rant.

I didn’t vote for McCain, have no intention of EVER voting for McCain and have channeled money to help J.D. Hayworth oust McCain but I also hail from a conservative state where McCain still won so my vote was inconsequential. If I’m part of this “six million” the author rants about, I have no regrets.

I don’t see the point in needlessly bashing homosexuals who want conservative values to succeed but homosexuals must understand that we on the Right have had 30 years of gays and lesbians forcing their values on us and on our children beginning in day care and upward. Any alliance is always going to be a wary one because most conservatives would prefer that homosexuals stop flaunting their perversions as if they were medals of honor.

Can’t you just be adults? Americans? MUST you define yourselves by who you have sex with?

I’m all for anyone who wants to stop the spread of communism that has reached our shores but I’m not about to suffocate my own values just to add a few more voices to the party who could drive away more voters than they attract.

Politics is a rough sport and one has to set aside some differences to make majorities work but it means two sides have to set aside differences, not just one. I don’t see the need to attack people who want the same political goals as you do but I also don’t see the need to bow down just because somebody wants to cross the aisle and switch sides.

Maybe if you kept the focus on defeating Obamunism and not on sharing your bedroom habits, you’ll find conservatives more agreeable and perhaps find more common interests.

So then, all those words and the bottom line is in his view if you criticize or joke about gays, you must then be gay yourself.

It just doesn’t get any dopier then that.

>>> So, every time a conservative lets one of these people get away with that garbage — and every time Redstate, Ace, or Free Republic allows a photo like that to be displayed and an attitude like that to stand — you are only helping the Left.

Yes.

>>> Making gay jokes doesn’t make one secretly gay, any more than making Polack jokes makes one Polish.

Agreed, but both for much the same reasons are clear indications of being a horses ass.

Some people never get it. The reason this country is in trouble are the slew of different special interest groups that want to be pandered to.

Why is it everyone has to know a person is gay, or black, or white, or pick your own group.

Either you believe in the country set down by the founders as a whole or you don’t.

All this resentment is caused by groups of people who think that being noticed and elevated by force, or by blackmail validates their lifestyle. What I see here is a kind of “embrace my personal lifestyle choices or I will make you pay mentality”.

Live your life, love your country and accept that we all are never going to think alike on everything. One thing we can agree on is keeping America home of freedom and liberty.

Somewhere I must be missing that page of the Constitution where people have a right to never be offended and always be compensated because our feelings are hurt.

we just don’t understand why you want to keep throwing away the LGBTQ vote when the only thing you have to do to start winning it is to just stop the sophomoric hate and insipid anti-gay jokes

d55may, my fellow Freepers humor often offends me (right after I recover from stomach hurting laughter...you have to admit some of these guys are really funny). I can see where the humor is hurtful and inappropriate and counterproductive. However, putting humor aside there is the larger issue of the culture clash. Yes, apparently we have a common denominator to turn the country back to principles that make this country great. Unfortunately, although you agree about financial principles you see moral principles differently. We believe that the moral principles, including the traditional biblical sexual principles, are the very foundation that made us a great nation. Without these principles there can be no conservative financial principles, no economic only conservatives. Without a moral people it is impossible to have a moral financial country.

I understand that gays and lesbians have both religious and political leaders that have helped them rationalize that biblical leaders and scripture are wrong and that man has evolved and that gay and lesbianism is normal. You know and they know in their hearts that they are wrong. You are living a lie and that lie will forever remove the joy that you and others like you deserve.

Yes, the jokes are not helpful. We should be reaching out to you with love and with the message that there is acceptance that God loves you and desires a relationship with you. Yes, that relationship will change you but the cost will be a heart filled with joy.

I’m offended by all the anti-”religious” references in this article! I could throw a hissy fit, or I could ignore it, MY choice.

This group at Hillbuzz occasionally is spot on with comments, articles, etc. about fiscal conservatism, small government, and the like—BUT...

Complaining about nasty pictures, fine. I don’t like them either! I would rather remain innocent even at my advanced age (48) of some of the realities of life out there in the world!! But out of how many daily postings? 300,000+ members are on FR, does that mean all they do all day is post nasty anti-gay comments and pictures??? Yet Hillbuzz complains about how many comments (which are usually zotted by admin mods if they cross the line anyway, whatever subject they are related to) that ‘offend’ their sensibilities? Seriously, I’ve been on FR for more than half a decade, and while there are those here who STRONGLY express their views about homosexuality and the ‘gay agenda’, I would bet those comments are in the <3% range if ALL comments are taken into account. You can’t take a broad paintbrush and attack the entire GROUP at FR because someone’s crossed the line with an offensive photo/s! (Don’t get me started on the Helen Thomas pics, shudders)

As far as the attacks by Hillbuzz on the “religious” members of FR and the GOP, again, within the group as a whole, the number of people who would be posting nasty ‘fudge packer’ pics is tiny—my guess it could probably even be DU/KAOS/HuffPo lurkers who have signed up and are ‘crashing’ FR with crap like is being described, just to stir up crap for the fun of it. (Yes, I don my cybermathazard suit and lurk on the LSD (liberal/leftists,statists, democrats) websites to see what they think and one pic or comment on FR cannot even compare to the vile spew put out in those places on a daily basis!)

And I’m sorry, but “religious” viewpoints ARE part of the platform of the Republican party! I don’t have the statistics, but the GOP mirrors AMERICA in that a large majority of those in the party are of Judeo/Christian backgrounds/beliefs.
The Holy Scriptures for both groups (TORAH & HOLY BIBLE) are adamant in the stand that HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN. There is no leeway, no halfway-ness about it—GOD hates HOMOSEXUALITY. Note: NOT HOMOSEXUALS. There is a big difference. Sorry, guys, but while I love your conservative viewpoints about fiscal issues and small government, etc. that fact is—YOU ‘PLAY FOR THE OTHER TEAM’ WHICH IS ANATHEMA TO THOSE WITH “RELIGIOUS” VIEWPOINTS. Do we hate you? No. Most people I know pray for homosexuals to come to God, “hate the sin, love the sinner’ (which applies to ALL sins). Are there hateful people in the world? Yes, go check out the daily blatherings at the DUmp, KAOS, and HuffPo, not to mention tv media idiots like Olbermann, Maddow, Mathews, etc... Is FR a ‘hate speech’ center? NO. NO. A thousand times, NO. Yes, there are ‘fringes’ in EVERY group EVERYWHERE. FR is no exception.

But to attack the ENTIRE site as being bigoted and ‘homophobic’ (btw, I’m not afraid of homosexuals or homosexuality and I’m certainly not ‘in the closet’ for speaking out against that particular lifestyle CHOICE) is just wrong. If you separate the GOP from the “religious”, like Hillbuzz would like to happen in a ‘perfect’ world, you know what you get?

The DNC. So, sorry, guys/gals at Hillbuzz. NO CAN DO.

The Judeo/Christian God IS intolerant—of SIN. That is the basis of the Ten Commandments, the basis of our law/justice system, the basic foundation of our country, America. We are called to be like God (in Christianity, when God looks at us, He sees JESUS CHRIST) in our beliefs. We cannot vacillate on SIN. HE calls homosexuality sin. WE are to call it sin as well. Otherwise, we are not faithful to Him, and there is no difference between us and those who condone sinful behavior and choices.
