Same reason most illegals don’t attempt to do it the right way- they took the easy way expecting us to do another amnesty- and another. Seriously I have had people tell me their relatives “went ahead and came up here for amnesty” all it takes to get a flood of illegals crossing is for the President or a congressman to mention amnesty.

I am about as hard core about illegals as anyone I know- I do think when citizens of other countries are allowed into our military their immediate family should be given some sort of legal way to be here and access their military benefits such as housing, medical, etc. Reporting is so bad though it may be there is a legal way for this to happen- seems this military man did not report his marriage and tried to just get by with something.

There is procedure and law. It needs to be followed by everyone. The only easy ride is if you serve yourself and don’t give me the spouse serves also. I was in submarines. No wife ever spend 5 months at sea at greater than four hundred feet.

Of course I'm not for another amnesty.  But did you ever watch the movie Born in East L.A.?

We agree completely-I think....

Junior enlistd members who are married or have dependent minors etc do receive VHA & BAS/SRats etc, provided they produce required documentation; there is no rank or TIG requirement.

Best;
