You make some good points - but DeVore’s support - such as it is - is pulling Carly to the right. That’s in part my point. That is good. Especially if she wins...but she needs to turn and address and even embrace us - the Tea Partiers - and not presume our support, right?
No I don’t want the liberal RINO to win - that’s what makes some primaries particularly tricky.
I think AZ was less tricky. I wish Palin had stayed OUT of that.

I was one of Palin’s biggest supporters during the election, but FACTS have changed my mind...What do you do when presented with new facts...oh, that’s right, dig in and try to slander the messenger!

I apologize for throwing all of that at you. My comments were directed at the larger group of RINO witch-hunters in general. I should have made that clear.
I am wary of Carly, for the reasons you and others have mentioned, but I'm not going to fire any RINO bullets at her yet. She does appear to be the best choice of conservatism + electability at this point, and make a LOT of sense for Sarah in terms of political favors.
I agree with Palin. This is the only likely outcome of this election. Devore will lose to Cambell, even if she endorsed him. I don’t want Cambell and I don’t want Boxer. The only viable alternative is Fiorina. Not the best choice but the ONLY choice. BTW, California tea partiers, for the most part, agree with Palin on this endorsement. If you aren’t from CA then tough sh**, worry about your own state.
Absolutely. And it really shook my support. But this Fiorina endorsement is nothing like her McCain moment, it is the smart thing to do as far as I'm concerned.

I’ve lived in pretty liberal states and just getting a moderate to an election win is tough enough with the internal bickering.
People whine about former Rep Simmons here in CT running for Senate since they labeled him a RINO, but you know what? I seriously doubt he would be worse than Dodd for our side.
Of course now that Dodd is stepping down and a donkey approved replacement (Blumenthal) is waiting in the wings, I doubt he or Linda McMahon have a chance.
The CA donkey party should have done the same with Babs.

It may be true that Fiorina is not a cookie cutter conservative, though the article by Malkin seems to be stretching the ties and implications with Jackson etc.
But where is the proof that the positions she presents are fabricated, or in the case of the bailout that she was the decision maker and not just part of the team (like Palin).
And don’t get me wrong - I wouldn’t vote for her if there were viable alternatives either. But it is California, and DeVore isn’t made of the right stuff.
As you imply, it is not convincing. But thanks in any case, a good read.
If you vote for the conservative who is certain to lose, in the end you still lose, and you're still stuck with the viper (who you wanted out) who was in office in the first place.
Principled action is fine, and has it's place, for sure, but you have to have both feet planted firmly on the ground to successfully withstand the effects of "stern reality".
As a previous poster said, we didn't get here overnight, and we're not going to change things overnight. We have to be realistic about our chances, and put them in proper context. California is not Idaho or Alabama. We have to remember that.
We take our victories, however small, wherever we find them.

I can understand that....Of course her time at HP will be a big fat target for the Boxer folks if she gets that far. However, that may backfire on Boxer because she will pull a lot of support from Simi Valley.

An endorsement of Devore might throw him into double digits in the polls-—maybe from 8% to 12%? Fiorina is within striking distance of Campbell (who would be as bad as Boxer) and while not perfect, would be FAR FAR better than either Campbell or Boxer. Devore needs to man-up and get out of the race; he is nothing but a spoiler.

The reaction of the Palinistas has been interesting on this Fiorina endorsement.
Some of them are disappointed in her for endorsing a “RINO.”
Others, of course, are OK with it because she is Saint Sarah, and everything she does is right.
