Actress Scarlett Johansson, who campaigned for Barack Obama who mentioned getting e-mails from her, remains in the tank for him. She admitted on Wednesday night's Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson that she was amongst those who “drank the Kool-aid” at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner last Saturday where she found him “amazing” and “hilarious.”
Monday's USA Today, as I tweeted, quoted Johansson: “I thought (Obama) was hilarious. He has a really dry sense of humor.”
When Ferguson's show returned from a commercial break, as the musical bumper ended viewers could hear Johansson telling Ferguson: “Obama was so amazing. He was hilarious, he was hilarious.” Recognizing viewers caught what she said, “we're on the air now,” Ferguson prompted her to explain, and so she gushed:
I was as the White House Correspondents' dinner and Obama was hilarious, actually. He really like, he, we all drank the Kool-aid. We were sold. It was amazing.

In her defense, after she said she had drunk the Kool-aid, she acknowledged that it sounds awful to say that. She didn't retract it, mind you, but she did attempt to moderate a tad. She remains drunk on Obama, that's for certain.

I’m beyond being angry at run-of-the-mill liberal actors and actresses. People that go into artistic professions are disporportionately liberal, people in California are disproportionately liberal, and people who are self-involved enough to be celebrities are disproportionately liberal. Rather than to simply claim she’s “drank the Kool-Aid,” I’d pose an even more challenging task for her: explain why? What’s the appeal? What the hell has he done?
On the hot-crazy scale, she's still substantially to the left of the "Mendoza diagonal". So ... she gets more slack than Rosie O'Donnell or Garofolo.

I thought O’s remarks were mean-spirited and in poor taste.

I was only 2 when that happened but I have seen photos and documentaries on Jonestown and it is nothing short of disturbing.I hope she snaps out of her ignorance and learns about it.And,as I am sure you know,I have seen Powers Boothe in that made-for-TV movie “Guyana Tragedy”. It is a very good made-for-TV movie,unlike the other 99% you will see.Seeing the dead bodies (of the actual victims) is very disturbing,gruesome,sickening and even creepy.There was a shot of JJ lying dead on the ground with his eyes open. Seeing that gave me a chill.I can just hear that dumb girl now;I’d imagine she’d say “Ewww!Gross!”.
