Archaeologists are stumped after finding a 100-year-old Swiss watch in an ancient tomb that was sealed more than 400 years ago. They believed they were the first to visit the Ming dynasty grave in Shangsi, southern China, since its occupant's funeral. But inside they uncovered a miniature watch in the shape of a ring marked 'Swiss' that is thought to be just a century old.

Actually, you raise a possibility.. Certain rats like to collect objects (preferably shiny ones) Hence the term, pack rats. Don’t know if rats had access to that cave but good point.

Archaeologists are stumped after finding a 50-year-old birth certificate in an ancient tomb that was sealed more than 400 years ago. They believed they were the first to visit the Obummer dynasty grave in Mombasa, southern Kenya, since its occupant’s funeral. But inside they uncovered a birth certificate in the shape of a anus marked ‘Too Much Swiss Cheese and Baloney’ that is thought to be just 50 years old. They speculate that someone broke into the tomb, hide the certificate and paddled to Hawaii to cover the crime.
So, that is where I lost it.
