Local School Suspends Student for Removing MEXICAN Flag
Yesterday, a listeners son was offended that his school, Klein Collins High School, displayed the Mexican flag prominently. His mother called to complain, and the school wouldnt return her call. The student took the sign down.
The school pitched a fit, reviewed the surveillance tapes, found the student, and suspended him for 3 days. AND he has to pay for the flag. In light of the SF story of students sent home for wearing the AMERICAN flag because it offended the Hispanic students, I thought youd like to know about a story closer to home.
Right here in our community. Feel free to let the school know what you think. You pay their salaries.
* * *
You realize, I assume, that if a student removed or even burned the AMERICAN flag, they wouldnt do anything about it, Ill bet.
Note from Nobel_1: The Sidebar Moderator has indicated to me that the photo on the Michael Berry website may not have been taken at the high school ...
If all of the Mexican illegals are just hard working, kind, humble people, why are their kids such arrogant punks and gangsters?
It's "Remember the Alamo" and Remember Goliad"; but it is "Celebrate San Jacinto".
Hispanic Culture does seem to have a Heavy dose of
“Respect me or I’ll Kill you” going on.
Not too different from the Jihadi’s.
They never learned what it was you did to Earn Respect.
They seem to think you can get respect by Threatening people.
That may work on some, But is Fear really Respect?
Maybe that is how their Father’s got Respect,
by beating his children.
They went that far at Klein Collins?
bookmrk!!!!
man that school sucks..i got sent to highpoint for supposely smoking marijauna lol..because im mexican..dumb ass principle..
Who lets clowns this stupid educate their children?
Story has been picked-up by Drudge ... http://www.drudgereport.com/
Based upon the interview with the student who took the flag down, he is a member of the ROTC at that school.
There are 2 sides at work here. One that believes we should let who ever wants to come here, do so (without any considerations) and those who are still patriots of this country.
From the following:
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6995047.html
Klein ISD spokeswoman Trazanna Moreno said a student at the high school had requested and been granted permission to hang the flag from a hallway balcony to celebrate his heritage during the annual celebration. Another student tore the flag down and threw it in a trash can, she said.....
On its Web site, the district issued the following statement:
Neither the Klein Independent School District nor any of its campuses has flown another country or state’s flag on a pole outside of its facilities.
Neither the Klein Independent School District nor any of its campuses has flown the American flag upside down.
Neither the Klein Independent School District nor any of its campuses has displayed another country or state’s flag in a manner that would dishonor or disrespect the American flag or the Texas state flag.
It is unfortunate that one person’s misinformation has caused such a disruption for our students. The facts are as stated above.

“Klein ISD spokeswoman Trazanna Moreno said a student at the high school had requested and been granted permission to hang the flag from a hallway balcony to celebrate his heritage during the annual celebration. Another student tore the flag down and threw it in a trash can, she said.”
Shame on the school admins who allowed the Mexican flag to be hung from the balcony. Just as the fake holiday, Cinco de Mayo, has come to signify a day of protest for illegal immigration, so has displaying the Mexican flag come to mean a middle finger in the eye of the United States. It’s not just an innocent display of pride in one’s Mexican heritage anymore. The school district’s failure to recognize this evolution lead to a stupid decision.
That might be entertaining, but it would also be pointless: the State of Texas has almost nothing to do with public school administration in Texas.
That's why they're called "Independent School Districts."
Calling the local school board, composed of elected members, would however be useful.

Re: student is ROTC member
Thanks for the info ... I’m proud of his actions
Thanks for the update. I also see there is a youtube/breitbart item on Drudge Report now ... the mother talking with Fox News.

Re: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6995047.html
It seems interesting that KISD is targeting “one persons misinformation”, Michael Berry/AM 740, as a distraction away from their actions.
Let’s review the KISD errors:
- prominate display of the Mexican flag in the hallway (btw, I understand from one parent that there is usually a US flag and Texas flag in the lunch room, and from certain angles, you can see the Mexican flag in the hallway above these flags)
- display approved by KISD staff
- team of 6 staff marched the student down to the principal’s office (6?)
- per the student’s mother, there is a hint of extortion ... they are demanding the student pay a third party for the mexican flag
- KISD hung-up on / would not speak with the student’s mother early in the event ... and did not take parental objections into account
The student is an ROTC member at the school.
My view - the patriotism of KISD staff is in question, and they showed poor judgement and PC-like behavior. They ignored the majority of tax payers in their district, and embarrassed themselves.
There are reasons why we only fly the American flag inside and outside schools; the blood of our patriots and the blessings of God allowed this school to even exist -— and for another nations flag to be openly and brazenly displayed is an affront to these American Patriots.
