Palin endorses Fiorina for Senate; stiffs fellow Tea Partier DeVore, disses Campbell
San Fran Chronicle ^ | May 6, 2010 | Joe Garofoli

Here's Palin on Fiorina:

"Please consider that Carly is the conservative who has the potential to beat California's liberal senator, Barbara Boxer, in November. I'm a huge proponent of contested primaries, so I'm glad to see the contest in California's GOP, but I support Carly as she fights through a tough primary against a liberal member of the GOP who seems to bear almost no difference to Boxer, one of the most leftwing members of the Senate. Carly needs our support in this crucial election year when we have a real chance of putting an end to the Pelosi/Reid Big Government" agenda.

Carly's reaction:

"I am honored and grateful to have Sarah Palin's support. She, too, is a political outsider and a strong fiscal conservative, and we share a common concern for the direction our country is headed in under Barbara Boxer and her allies in Washington," Fiorina said.

Say what you want about Arnold (and he deserves most of it), but the fact is he found out very early on that the Governor doesn’t run California.....The Public Employees Unions do, along with the 65% Democrat dominated Legislature......

We mustn’t forget those down ticket races..... Dump the Dems lets reclaim California....(redistricting could help)

And there we have it.

I'm a fascist for suggesting that conservatives vote for conservatives in primaries. Primaries. Your logic fails to impress.

Don't be such a drama queen. California has lost its soul to liberals because of conservatives like me???? There are a lot of reasons why California is so liberal, but it has nothing to do with conservatives voting conservative. That's not intelligent, it's moronic. People like me who have voted for the GOP straight ticket since I was old enough to vote are not the problem. Moderates like you are not the problem, either, but you are not part of a solution, either. You prevent a solution. No one has tried selling conservatism to California in a state wide race since 1994. In 1994, conservatives swept the state.

Study your demographics, little fella, and figure out why Bob Dornan lost his seat, why LA has been taken over by Aztlan, why social services, schools, prisons and hospitals cost so much to operate, and then factor in the passing away of 20 years worth of old folks and the entry into voting rolls of 20 years worth of people educated since 1985, and you will have your answer for why California has gone to hell. It wasn't because conservatives decided to give in and become moderates. Moderates, if anything, have killed the GOP brand in Cal-ee-forn-eeya. You want us to get on board with another one.

I am judgmental, that is true, and I have judged the value of your opinion for what it is worth.

From what I heard, it makes me not want her for senator.

I’m going with Tom Campbell. He’s more liberal than I’d like, but he’s a nieghbor and helped me out on several occasions.

We run into him at the grocery store. First, I like that he regularly goes to the grocery store. Second, he’s nice to everyone at the store. I think he really wants to help the regular people.

I like Devore’s stance on the issues, but he doesn’t have a chance, and I cannot stand Fiorino.

She does? Is that why she didn’t bother to endorse Rubio?

The wonderful thing about this thread is that it instantly identifies the truly rabid anti-Palin folk. It’s a good thing to know.

She’s been studying the Arizona law to make an informed decision on it.

Studying? The thing is 13 pages long. How much time does she need?

“Two strikes, no hits and one more strike and she is out. Campaigning for that RINO McCain was bad enough. Send her back to Alaska.”

Yup. She was my #1 pick until she jumped on McCain’s bandwagon. The way I play political baseball is “ONE strike and you’re out” — especially if it’s a big one, as hers was. Her endorsement of McCain was a blatant display of terrible discernment.

Studying a law involves considering ramifications and impacts and considering what could be better alternatives, not just simply reading the law.

No kidding. The Arizona law was passed two weeks ago, I think time enough has passed for any serious person to have formulated an opinion.

She’s probably more focused on other things for the moment like the upcoming primary. Frankly her position in one way or another isn’t a deal breaker for me. I think you can be against the law and still be for border enforcement. Regardless, Fiorina is where I am on controlling spending, bringing down taxes, gun rights and opposing abortion as well as rolling back Obamacare. Works for me. Her position on what the governor of another state does, esp. since she’s running for Senate and not governor, doesn’t bother me much. Frankly in California with so many Hispanic voters a non-commital position on it is probably the smart one.

“And after doing that, then what? Do you realize that between you and everybody else on this site, there is not one single person in the country worthy of our support?”

There are plenty...

Michelle Bachman & Liz Cheney if we want to start with conservative women.
