When the 2008 video was uncovered a few weeks back, Glenn Beck brushed it aside by asking
“Why is this coming out now?”

His theory was that the Left was trying to set up Conservatives by getting suckered into questioning Obama’s Eligibility this summer ... just in time for Obama to reveal that he was irrefutably born in the US (some sort of Obama birth certificate "October Surprise"), to embarrass Conservatives and cause them to lose Congressional races this November.

I still like and listen to Beck, but on this point we here disagree. Team Obama is not that smart.

Seeing him in action, Obama may be Evil-Incarnate, but he uses bribes, blunt force and threats to push his unpopular agenda, not traps and three-year-old timebombs set early in his campaign. In fact, these rumors of Obama's birthplace exist in the first place NOT because of disinformation created by Obama’s political rivals, but because of slip-ups from Obama’s OWN CAMPAIGN in early-2008, 2007 and before — TWO videos now discovered from his own unknowing wife.

Obama uses a Telepromter so he won't screw up; Michelle though speaks extemporaneously and more likely speaks the TRUTH in '07 & '08, certainly before it was changed to a different "truth".

This feign threat of an Obama "October Surprise" has been around since before the August 2008 DNC Convention, and reportedly Obama operatives threatened the same to the Hillary Campaign. Looking back now, an agreement was obviously struck between Obama and Hillary to help pay back the $25.2 million as it peaked in June 2008, and to offer Hillary the Secretary of State position if Obama won the presidency. Part of that agreement was very likely that Hillary would protect Obama and his Eligibility status, which she could assuredly do as head of the State Department (Obama's passport and immigration archives).

However, there were many Democratic PUMAs — many just politically-active "amateurs" — who had this information, too. It's very reasonable to assume that it is likely some of these anti-Obama factions that are seemingly releasing these archived videos NOW — not to damage Conservatives, but to damage Obama — before he completely decimates the Democratic Party.

Michelle, the Associated Press (in 2004), Kenyan officials, BO’s grandma — perhaps all those people are on to something?

Oh Please, I am telling you it is not only done, it is done all the time.
We are NOT going to get rid of this pack of goons in the white house with these sorts of tactics. Monica did not work agains Clinton, (and I was on that band wagon) in fact it may have helped him because he was seen as embattled.
We need to stick to provable policy issues, things that are happening that the American people know are wrong.
