I just got back from Russia (Tatarstan State) a couple of weeks ago.

Like almost any country I've ever been in, the people there are generally nice and the government is messed up in one way or the other. I prefer the Russian system of security and protection - extreme as it may be at times - to the USA system of political correctness and profile avoidance.
