Usama Bin Laden Is Living Comfortably in Iran, Documentary Asserts By Ed Barnes - FOXNews.com Usama bin Laden gets up each morning in his dark, damp cave in northern Pakistan, gripped by fear, listening carefully for the telltale sound of a drone that is searching for him... An Iranian who supplied falcon camps says he saw and met with Usama Bin Laden six times since 2003. His eyewitness accounts adds to a growing body of evidence that the world’s most wanted is living comfortably in Iran. Usama bin Laden gets up each morning in his dark, damp cave in northern Pakistan, gripped by fear, listening carefully for the telltale sound of a drone that is searching for him. His isolation is almost complete. Only a few trusted associates know where he is, and they visit rarely -- bringing food and news, but careful not to fall into a routine. There is no radio or other electronic device whose signal might be followed. He can’t go out in daytime for fear of satellites. It is a grim, lonely existence.

At least, that is the picture that has emerged of the life of the world’s most wanted man since he fled Tora Bora in 2001.

But a new and vastly different picture of the Al Qaeda leader's life has been emerging over the past few years. In this scenario, he wakes each morning in a comfortable bed inside a guarded compound north of Tehran. He is surrounded by his wife and a few children. He keeps a low profile, is allowed limited travel and, in exchange for silence, is given a comfortable life under the protection of Iran's Revolutionary Guard.

The idea that Bin Laden is in Iran got a strong boost recently with the premiere of a documentary called “Feathered Cocaine.”

Of course, what we’ve been told over and over is that the Sunnis and the Shiites hate each other, Iran despises Al Qaida, etc., so no chance of this. Who do I believe now?

Well at least now we know where the gates of hell are... if there was any doubt.

Hasn’t this been presumed for a very very very long time? Isn’t there one interpretation of 911 which affixes the responsibility for the perpetrators directly on Iran?

I just posted it. I do not necessarily believe it.
However, I have never heard this connection to Falconery before. We could implant a falcon with a GPS tracking chip like we implant into our dogs. Then we could track it from a satalite. This sounds like a chapter from a Vince Flynn or Tom Clancy book. Now all we need is Mitch Rapp to go in for the sanction.

Ossabama is not really the main problem but iSSlamism and then islam...

Only Ohblablama feigned to believe that he will focus on catching Usama! Sure he will!

Fox has always spelled his name Usama. Don’t know why. They’ve been doing it for at least as far back as 9-11.

It has been spelled that way too since before Obama was Prez.

"Of course, what we’ve been told over and over is that the Sunnis and the Shiites hate each other, Iran despises Al Qaida, etc., so no chance of this. Who do I believe now?"

The Nazis and the Communists hated each other too, but it didn't stop them from making a secret alliance to carve up Poland and Lithuania

For the dim-bulb westerners who believe ideology trumps all, I recommend reading Lee Smith's The Strong Horse as a corrective. It's all about calculations of relative power.

The idea that Osama is alive in a cave in Pakistan and yet never once shown his face to reporters is ridiculous. He is either dead (voice-stress analysis is very inexact, and there are sons who could stand-in), or he is under "protection" from some government. If had shown himself, it would have been a powerful, dare I say, explosive accelerant to his popularity and he would not have hesitated if he were alive and free to do so.

Fox News has always, for whatever reason, used that spelling of bin Laden’s first name.

"is given a comfortable life under the protection of Iran's Revolutionary Guard"

While anything is possible, this seems highly implausible. The Sunni/Shia conflict is almost as violent as the Mooslimb/Jewish conflict.

It would seem very unlikely that Iran was giving aid and comfort to their own avowed enemy.

He’s dead and in Hell, but mistakenly thinks he’s in Iran.

I was just speaking sarcastically to the writer of the article. I feel certain that BinLaden could not have kept his trap shut this long.

I agree with you. I think he’s been dead for years.

Ha, that IS the reason they have changed the spelling, isn’t it? Very astute you are.
