WASHINGTON – The United States has 5,113 nuclear warheads in its stockpile and "several thousand" more retired warheads awaiting the junkpile, the Pentagon said Monday in an unprecedented accounting of a secretive arsenal born in the Cold War and now shrinking rapidly.
The Obama administration disclosed the size of its atomic stockpile going back to 1962 as part of a campaign to get other nuclear nations to be more forthcoming, and to improve its bargaining position against the prospect of a nuclear Iran.

I don't doubt that his administration had the LEGAL authority to release this information.
Bad administrations had the ability to do an incredible amount of harm. Especially ones with foolish ideologies that prevent them from exercising common sense.
It's our duty to vote them out of office as soon as possible to limit the damage they can cause as much as possible.

Well, they have been disarming some since the SALT treaties- if I remember correctly, the peak around the height of the Cold War was something like 10,000 apiece.

Above someone posted that this 5,000+ number did not include the ones scheduled to be disarmed (or that have been disarmed). Apparently a concession to the Intelligence Agencies. In some ways, even worse is the fact that Obama claims he is being completely transparent in an effort to gain bargaining ground with Iran, when he is not being completely truthful (for good reason), but he has to know that other agencies around the world will point out to their leaders that Obama was NOT completely truthful in the disclosure which could lead to charges of intentional deception and not “transparency” as they are claiming... Not a good “bargaining” position if the other party thinks you’re a liar already...

YOU’RE feeling agitated? I’m 30 years old and feel like my heart is about to explode! Obama has authorized the destruction of this country. Why isn’t anyone doing anything about this?
He is simply following orders from his globalist elite handlers, who believe this country is to be disposed of. We are powerless to stop this, short of an assassination.
