WASHINGTON – The United States has 5,113 nuclear warheads in its stockpile and "several thousand" more retired warheads awaiting the junkpile, the Pentagon said Monday in an unprecedented accounting of a secretive arsenal born in the Cold War and now shrinking rapidly.

The Obama administration disclosed the size of its atomic stockpile going back to 1962 as part of a campaign to get other nuclear nations to be more forthcoming, and to improve its bargaining position against the prospect of a nuclear Iran.

Anyone releasing such information should be impeached, removed from office, and prosecuted under all applicable laws for giving aid and comfort to our enemies for this as well as other related charges. POTUS nor anyone should have power to release such critical information on a whim.

Federal governent agencies who's job is the national security of the United States need to do what they can under the law as well. This was a serious breach of national security.

The same rules for nuclear weapon surety that apply to an E-3 should as well apply to the Commander In Chief and Sec of State. Actually not even Sec of State had any business knowing this information. Sec of Defense? Yes. JCOS? Yes. VP? Yes. Only those with need to know should know. Now everyone knows.

You do not have to compare anything. As I stated, I agree that his action is undesirable. The purpose of my post was to point out that National Security rests with the Executive Branch as provided for in the Constitution much to the chagrin of those demonstrating culpable ignorance on the subject.

In summary, I do not condone his actions but they are within his constitutional charter.

Then it makes sense that we could spare one or two to be airlifted to Iran to assist them in their nuclear program. After detonation, all of Iran could be nuclear.
