NEW YORK (AP) -- Police investigating a failed car bomb left in Times Square have videotape of a possible suspect shedding clothing in an alley and putting it in a bag and found a substance that resembled fertilizer in the parked SUV, Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Sunday.
The surveillance video shows a white man in his 40s taking off one shirt, revealing another underneath.

Kick in an extra $1,000 and I’ll have the post pulled.
Cheers!
Typical.
I’m open to anybody on this thing, except the IRA (because they know wtf they’re doing). There are so many groups, at all points on the compass, with an ax to grind that nothing would surprise me.
Can somebody explain how in blue blazes do you find a parking place in Times Square for an SUV?
The media is falling all over itself trying to convince us that it was not a Muslim who did this.
Look for someone, something "just not right" in the pictures you view...like someone hurrying just a bit more...
Probably a no parking area...or in someone else’s spot...
Ditto, this is all too pat. Home store fertilizer not mixed with fuel, probably not even amonium nitrate, poorly constructed bomb, detonator fashioned from intact M88’s (probably bought at South of the Boarder), white guy seen leaving, lights flashing on SUV to draw attention, and MSNBC jumping the shark with their report this morning.
Call me paranoid
Statistically speaking, hispanics are white. Are arabs? Yes they are.
Could have been a “real” white guy, sure, but does anyone here really believe that the liberal US media would NOT craftily chose for their reporting the very widest definition of “caucasian”...?
You don’t have to wonder about this, because after OKC the media was overjoyed and doing backflips when they learned it was a white guy. So why aren’t they THIS time also..?
Cuz it’s not “really” a white guy, ok? It’s someone who’s OFFICIALLY white, and you *know* what that means...
This gave me a dozen different looks in a flash...
Brown jacket - glasses - hat.
Brown jacket - no glasses - no hat.
Tan jacket - shades - no hat.
Tan jacket - hat - no glasses.....
I also got pretty good at changing my height and walk.
LOL. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked past it.
Hubby did that in the supermarket once. Turned the corner and there was an old man with a REAL limp. I laughed out loud...and hubby kept limping!!
Unless someone expected to be followed they almost never turned around to look. The chance of being spotted came when the subject turned down a quiet street and I had to follow. At the end of the block or iff he turned the corner I'd duck into a doorway, switch the jacket and add or take off the glasses and hat.
Most of the time I'd follow from the other side of the street so I had that change option too.
I never lost anybody and as far as I know never got made.
Following in a car is a whole different deal.
The following sentence has me confused
"That was my first thought: Who sat this car here?" Jackson said Sunday.
Ok, that article is being constantly updated. It's now longer than it was 5 minutes ago. I was going to comment on the plate but that sentence was change to something more comprehensible.
Yeah, a white guy in a white van.
