President Barack Obama took shots at his poll drops, birthers, death panels, and Arizona's new immigration law on Saturday night.
Obama opened for comedian Jay Leno at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, noting that Leno was the "only person whose ratings fell more than mine.
"I'm also glad I'm speaking first, because we've all seen what happens when someone takes the time slot after Leno," Obama said in reference to the Conan O'Brien "Tonight Show" fiasco.
But, the president joked, "I know my approval ratings are still very high in the country of my birth."
Leno prodded back at Obama when it was his turn at bat. First up: the controversy over Obama's plans with the space program.
"We can point to one achievement during his administration," Leno said. "We did get one astronaut on 'Dancing on the Stars.'"
"He loves to socialize," Leno added of the president. "Healthcare. Car companies."
*snip*
"And we all know what happens in Arizona when you don't have ID," Obama said, taking a shot at the controversial law that has sparked protests -- and calls on Capitol Hill to move on immigration reform. "Adios amigos!"
But instead, the president focused on the domestic priority that he spent much of his term thus far getting pushed through.
"There aren't a few secret provisions in the healthcare plan," Obama said. "There are, like, hundreds."

Obama managed to out himself on his birthplace, socialism, healthcare, death panels, socialism and immigration.

I didn’t watch any of Obama’s remarks, but seeing them here in print, they are not funny. Like you pointed out, he seems to be outing himself on all the issues you noted, but he is telling America: So What. I’m President and I can do what I want to this country. Sounds like he is rubbing it in our face.
“That’s true, but tonight he made himself the butt of his jokes.”
The weekend Fox News crew evidently thought he was funny too, but it sounds more like he was rubbing his views in our face, not making himself the butt of jokes.
Why joke at the birth certificate issue? Why not just show it? It’s a taunt. I can do and say whatever I want and nobody can stop me.
The other issues are deadly serious and I just don’t see any humor in his statements.
Bwwahahahaha. The venom hits the chosen one. The one who will stop the rise of the oceans, save the planet, leap tall buildings in a single bound.
GWB appeared at the Correspondents’ Dinner every one of his eight years in office.
We don’t have to imagine the MSM’s response - the evidence is all still available online. Don’t you remember the outcry when he showed this video about looking for “weapons of mass destruction”?

line 4 of the article poted
"There aren't a few secret provisions in the healthcare plan," Obama said. "There are, like, hundreds."
He said he would clarify some of the misconceptions, though. "If you do not like the ruling of your death panel, you can appeal," Obama said...
He's just continuing to teach liberals to laugh at atrocities.
Talk to any liberals lately? See how horrifically vicious they're getting? This is why.
I'm sure even in his world it feels good not to lie now and again.
HF
I think what he meant was “keep mistresses and birth certificates hidden”.
And phart in a whirlwind next to Ezekiel's wheel!!!
I wish someone would have the spine and character to refuse to do it.
