April 27 (Bloomberg) -- Mexicans in Arizona should carry documentation and “act carefully” after the state passed a law requiring local police to determine the immigration status of anyone suspected of being in the country illegally, Mexico’s Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry said the warning is directed toward Mexicans living, studying or planning to travel to the southwestern U.S. state, which shares a border with northern Mexico, according to the e-mailed statement sent today. It comes as members of U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration said they have concerns about the new law and may seek to overturn it in court.

“There is an adverse political environment for migrant communities and all Mexican visitors,” Mexico’s ministry said. “It’s important to act carefully and respect the local laws.”

'"Mexicans in Arizona should carry documentation and “act carefully”'

You don't say! Well, this is rich, Mexico asking its citizens to carry 'documentation' after 15 to 20 million of them crossed over into the US in the past 50 years...

Nice of them to finally notice and formally notify...

Wow...

Dateline: Mexico City
Date: 04/27/2010

Mexicans who plan on walking over the border into the United States to commit murder, rape, sex crimes against children, armed robbery, burglary, drug smuggling, grand theft auto, fraud, plopping a ground squirrel and claiming it is a U.S. Citizen, should avoid the state of Arizona.

The gig is up. And God forbid, you might be returned to us.

Ummm, Duh, Isn’t that what we gringos are required to do when in Ol’Mexico?

Counter intuitive.

Will the Mexican Government take responsibility for all the illegals AZ may identify? Are they willing to be liable for losses/damages caused by these mexican “citizens” illegally in the US?

What BS.

GO AZ!!!!

When a country is telling you that your citizens are overwhelming their social infrastructure and are no longer welcome, threatening to keep them home is not a very effective scare tactic.

“This may pressure other states especially boarder states to toughen their laws also to prevent a flood who are afraid of Arizona.”

We all need to support whatever states try to enforce the actual, existing US law on this matter.

If the idiots in SF want to be consistent, they should boycott themselves, as US law applies in their sorry a$$ town too. Morons...

“It’s important to act carefully and respect the local laws.”

WTF?.....You need to say this?

Only because they don't care if you don't obey the law in the other 57 states.

LOL.
Funniest thing i’ve read all day.

Maybe the Mex gov should take a small look around them and see what’s going on in their own neighborhood.
