The anti-America pro-illegal forces are pulling out all the stops with their Sky-is-gonna-fall fear-mongering histrionics, the audacity of which knows no bounds.

"The Mexican President Felipe Calderon said the law is discriminatory and warned that trade and political ties with Arizona will be seriously strained by the crackdown."

The sense of outrage, indignation that burns within me against the President of Mexico can be summed up in four words; FYFC, FY Felipe Calderon!!

And then you've got this, the most asinine, convoluted comment ever;
The crux of opponents' arguments is that only the federal government has the authority to regulate immigration.
"If every state had its own laws, we wouldn't be one country; we'd be 50 different countries," said Thomas Saenz, president and general counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

These Mexicans sure have a lot to say about us, what they're going to do to us without really thinking much about their own sorry state of internal affairs.

The Arizona law is turning out to be the very test case in which the future of our beloved Republic is at stake. If the Anti-America pro-illegal forces bear enough pressure down as to have the law rescinded, prevent it from being implemented, it would mean our very immigration as being held in the hands of the illegal immigrant community, and that we are all otherwise lost. Arizona! Our thoughts, prayers are with you!

70% of Arizonans are for this law, 61% of Americans are for it, the vocal minority against it needs to shut-up!

“the furor over Arizona’s new law”

A lot of violence and hate is seething in this anti law crowd. if anything happens in the future in AZ it is because
of the illegal alienbaggers.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon ...warned that trade and political ties with Arizona will be seriously strained by the crackdown.

I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but wasn't that sort of the intent of the law?

“Tonight I shall be carrying on from where we got to last week when I was showing you how to defend yourselves against anyone who attacks you armed with a piece of fresh fruit.”

Next week I’ll explain how to defend yourselves against anyone who attacks you armed with refried beans.

Isn’t every law discriminatory, especially those that aim to regulate behavior?

Funny. The bill was signed and I didn’t see Armageddon today. The sky was blue! The birds were chirping! I even saw a unicorn and a rainbow. I was really “amused”.

“never-ending requests for police to confirm your identity and to confirm your citizenship,”

I’d be happy to be stopped to prove my citizenship, knowing the next one stopped may be an illegal.

"If you look or sound foreign, you are going to be subjected to never-ending requests for police to confirm your identity and to confirm your citizenship," said Alessandra Soler Meetze, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona, which is exploring legal action.

Untrue. Under the law the Police do not have the power to arbitrarily question anyone's citizenship. If they did, obama would never set foot in Arizona again. ;-)

The law does require Police to determine everyone's citizenship if/when they are arrested or otherwise come to the attention of the Police. So if I go to AZ and get a speeding ticket, they will have to determine my status.

If they are upset over this law, they should ask themselves just what has made it a necessity and supported by 70% of AZ residents. (legal residents that is) It is because illegal residents -- criminals -- have made such a problem in the State, 70% of the legal residents are willing to put up with the ID checks on everyone in order to reduce the problems caused by the illegals.

Activists are planning a challenge of their own, hoping to block the law from taking effect by arguing that it encroaches on the federal government's authority to regulate immigration...

Ummm,... let me see if I get this straight. The law encroaches on the federal government's authority to ignore the law which it is responsible to enforce. Should be a short trial.

I have been busy and have not had the time to follow what appears to me to be out of the wild blue yonder this bill becoming birthed and certified.

But the first thing comes to mind is that lord McCain has been neutered. And strike two against him, after the Supremes struck down his free speech prohibition. I can only ‘hope’ strike three comes in November and he can go and graze on the ‘green’ grass of the mountains of Arizona.

Also, I wonder now that Saint Teddy has been planted six feet under, and his legacy of deathcare for US became the law of the land, lacks the dollars required to fund illegal healthcare, so the states are on their own as to how to implement BamBamKennedy care.

civil rights leaders demanded a boycott of the state

Looks like I'll plan another vacation to Arizona. Beautiful state. Last time I was there I enjoyed a hot-air balloon ride followed by wine and lunch. Sedona is gorgeous. Flagstaff is great. Then there's the drive to the Grand Canyon. Next vacation will be even more pleasant with the crackdown on illegals!

Maybe this will happen, but the blame for this situation rests on the illegals themselves and their enablers in our government. If these people would have had respect for the law in the first place, Arizona wouldn't have to resort to this. So, any unpleasantness that results from this legislation is the fault of the illegal alien/open borders lobby, which includes the ACLU, so they can just go flog themselves.

What’s so difficult about showing a green card to law enforcement personnel?

We all show our driver’s license upon request...to LEOs, or to clerks in department stores and grocery stores when we write a check.

We have to show hunting and fishing licenses to wildlife officers.

There are any number of occasions when all citizens are requested to show proof of identification, etc., for any number of reasons.
It is beyond ridiculous for proper papers not to be shown under these circumstances when the abuse of our laws have become epidemic.
