Yid With Lid: He was giving the key note speech at a Washington Institute For Near East Policy and started it out with a "joke" that borders on anti-Semitic, teaching the crowd that Jews are just greedy merchants in the same vein as Shakespeare's Shylock...

I totally thought of Yosemite Sam and Bugs Bunny for this joke, and that would have worked. The trouble is, this joke in a sense commiserates with the hapless Taliban and reinforces their belief that Jews/Israelis deserve to be on the receiving end of their wrath.

I agree that was a mistake, but the vast majority of decisions by the Mods are correct, imho, particularly when one considers the number of posts and threads we see here on FR. Really, it’s mind-boggling.
Yes...and the honorable thing to do for the FR Moderator is to restore my post. This particular moderator deserves a lesson in humility.

Here we have one of the highest officials from the Obama regime posing as honest broker of an Israeli-Palestinian peace.
He's speaking for this regime at a "Washington Institute for Near East Policy" forum.
He's speaking at a time when the question of whether Obama has changed America's long held relationship with Israel.
He's speaking to an audience that includes a large number of Muslims - many of who consider themselves enemies of both Israel and the US. "The Washington Institute for Near East Policy" has a website that prominently (on top) has a button to view the site in Arabic - not Hebrew or any other language.
And as I stated on this thread before, Jone's version of an old joke - on humorously clever business practices told in many versions and involving various ethnic groups - is one customized in a particular way. It now involves a Jew hating Muslim (Taliban) - not unlike many in his audience. He wanders out of the desert desparate for water and comes upon a greedy scheming Jew and his brother who bounce him back and forth between them without giving him water.
The mask may have been humor, but the intention was far more significant and the Obama regime and those enemies of America & Israel hearing it know it. [And even a non Jew like me can see that.]
That picture is creepy. This is the nightmare I have where Obama goes to Tehran with CNN and MSNBC in tow. They would shake hands and congratulate each other like that picture and Obama press a button to launch a missile that nukes Israel.
His liberal American Jewish voters (78%) would cheer Hussein because they love him like other idiots in America who voted for him. They still love him.
I think you’re reading it the wrong way. I read it that the Jews got over on the Muslim. Remember, it was the Muslim that was spewing hate and diatribe to the Jewish merchant that General Jones could not repeat.
Think of this, if it was told while Gen Jones was an official with the Bush administration and the Huffington Post was making a big deal about it, would you agree with them and continue to pile on? If you were honest with yourself, the answer is no. And you would not be over analyzing this like you are doing now.
There is an unspoken agenda in Obama’s foreign policy and religious rhetortic.
