Mexico City - A strict new anti-immigration law enacted by the US state of Arizona is 'an obstacle to the solution of common problems' in North America , according to the Mexican government.
President Felipe Calderon said Saturday that the draconian law signed by the US border state's Governor Janice Brewer the previous day would hurt US-Mexico relations.
'The criminalization of the migration phenomenon, far from contributing to cooperation between Mexico and the state of Arizona, represents an obstacle for the solution of common problems,' Calderon said.

Mexico has been using the United States for years as it's “release valve” for systemic unemployment and other social woes. If all the illegals were sent back to Mexico tomorrow and the spigot of money they send back was turned off, I would give the country less than 6 months before it the government collapsed and the country descended into total anarchy. The Mexican government realizes this as well, which is why they are strongly opposed to any attempts to close the border.

Why would the president of Mexico criticize a State law that steps in to enforce Federal law? The Federal government has been giving lip service to immigration laws on the books since the 1980s. President Filipe Calderon should instead be criticizing the US Federal government for not enforcing the laws on the books. Ha ha!
Since when has it been the business of foreign entities to tell the USA how to deal with illegal immigration? Maybe he has a vested interest in the sense that Mexico receives billions of dollars from the USA. Mexico has an unforgiving illegal immigration policy quite unlike the USA. Why does he want special treatment from us, when his own illegal immigration laws are so unforgiving? No money from his illegals for Mexico, but lots of money from the USA.
Why would we have immigration laws and not enforce them?

what is Mexico talking about?
Their OWN immigration law are MUCH TUFFER.
To: Free ThinkerNY
the solution of common problems The only reason any "problems" are common is because Mexico exported them to us.
We never used to have a problem with 20 million angry illiterates rioting on our streets.
