Army to 'inquire' into charges against Lakin

The U.S. Army says it will "inquire" into the "truth" of the charges filed against Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, who has refused to follow orders until Barack Obama documents his eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, and ultimately will "determine what disposition should be made of the case in the interest of justice and discipline."

WND reported Thursday when the formal counts against Lakin were filed without comment by the Army.

The counts, posted on the SafeguardOurConstitution website, which is generating support for the officer, allege violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice Articles 87 and 92.

Lakin publicly asked the president to document his eligibility and expressed a willingness to deploy with the 32nd Cavalry Regiment to Afghanistan. But he received no response from the White House.

The filing of charges, however, may be part of the still-unrevealed strategy Lakin and his legal counselors are pursuing.

To me the most telling part of that is when he says "The" Holy Quran" rather than "Your Holy Koran". He also says: "tells us", rather than "tells you". In both cases he is including himself in the group, "muslims".

You don't see radical muslims going after him as an apostate, even though he says he as "known Islam" on three continents. What are three continents anyway? Indonesia and Pakistan are both considered to be part of Asia (although Indonesia is made up of Islands between Asia proper and Australia) and I guess Africa counts since he at least spent considerable time with his Kenyan family, which is Muslim, as he says on the video. What's the third?

Are they going to investigate Lakin’s claim of Obama being ineligible?

Probably not. Since its not material to the charges themselves, only to the affirmative defense against the charges. Still they could, since it impacts on the chance of getting a conviction. Don't think they will though, even though individual might want to do so.

Or are they going to investigate Lakin missing movements, ect.?

Definitely. The investigation itself will not be lengthy. But remember the Army is a BIG bureaucracy and these things can take more time than they should because of it.

This is not the Army of even five years ago. It is so riddled with political correctness, defeatism and apathy that it is only a matter of time before there is big trouble. All of its senior officers are either cowed by Obama or more interested in their careers than the well being of the country.
