US clears 2nd Navy SEAL in Iraqi abuse case

A U.S. military judge has cleared a Navy SEAL of wrongdoing in the alleged beating of a prisoner suspected of masterminding the grisly 2004 killings of four American contractors in Iraq.

The military says the judge found insufficient evidence to convict Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Keefe on charges of dereliction of duty.

These SEALs are under a joint commander who I think referred the charges.

The SEALS were under a Special Forces command run by an Army general, as I heard it.

The Marines have Generals... Last time I checked they are part of the Navy...

This is just a statement,NOT a defense of the second most obnoxious person on cable TV; Nancy Grace is the major upchuck for me. I never watch MSNBC so they are not in my list of dog piles...

Great news, but isn’t is sad that these SEALs had to defend themselves from spurious claims from a terrorist? And our government was the one who brought the charges against these fine men! Disgusting.
