An Arizona state bill that would give law enforcement greater authority over arresting illegal immigrants has caused national uproar and could set the stage for court battles over how far states can go when it comes to immigration policies.
The bill would it make it a crime for immigrants to have no alien registration document, and undocumented citizens would be charged with "trespassing" simply for being in Arizona. The bill allows police to question and arrest people without warrant if there is "reasonable suspicion" about their immigration status. It would become illegal for people to employ illegal immigrants or to transport them anywhere in the state, even if they are family members.
Critics of the bill charge that it essentially legalizes racial profiling, which will lead to an uptick in hate crimes.

Technically (not that it is enforced) it is a Federal Crime to hire an illegal alien. This will make it a state crime, and most likely it will get enforced. If this measure passes, I would anticipate that Arizona will have the lowest unemployment rate in the US within 6 months.

When the FedGov abdicates its responsiblity to monitor the borders, from Bush to Clinton to Bush to Obama, then how can anybody blame Arizona for attempting to control the influx.

Someone breaking the law = criminal. It’s a CRIME to be in this country illegally. Enforce the laws and secure our borders. One of the few things the federal government should be doing.
This is not a victimless crime. With 10% unemployment (17% actual) these are jobs being taken from Americans and given to illegals. They drive down wages for Americans and their children wind up on welfare and jail in numbers similar to African-Americans.
The stand down order for our nation’s borders needs to be rescinded.
Banks that aid and abet criminals by giving them accounts and loans without having a social security number should be PROSECUTED. Another unreported story by the MSM = loans given to illegals with no income tax return.
Also, student loans are being given to illegal aliens. Absolutely insane.
