Kyrsten Sinema, a Democratic representative in the Arizona state legislature, said the "birther bill" recently advanced in the Arizona House would make the state "the laughing stock of the nation." Reaction to the legislation indicates people agree.
The Arizona House of Representatives on Monday voted 31 - 22 to advance a bill that would require Arizona's secretary of state to review a presidential candidate's birth certificate before that candidate could get on the ballot in the state.
The Arizona Republic reports, "The legislation originated from a fringe group that believes President Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and therefore ineligible to be president."

Exactly.
What if AZ came out and said, for example, we absolutely believe Obambi is a natural born citizen and eligible to be Prez, but we sure don’t want this controversy to crop up again in the future, so we’re enacting a procedure to protect our state and our ballot from this?
What in the world is objectionable to Obambi about this, hmm?

So, the bill says:
The Arizona House of Representatives on Monday voted 31 - 22 to advance a bill that would require Arizona's secretary of state to review a presidential candidate's birth certificate before that candidate could get on the ballot in the state.
It's as if asking for someone's birth certificate is some intrusive measure.
For Pete's sake, both my kids had to have their birth certificates to play in the local soccer league!
Doesn't seem like a big hurdle that anyone who wants to be president should have to meet.
Me thinks thou doth protest too much.

“Why doesn't the white house dispatch this issue by releasing all the records? Most transparent administration indeed.”
Because the White House does not want this to go away. They want the media to think the “birthers” are looneys like the ones who believed 9/11 was done by the Government (Bush). And, guess what, it is working. People are getting all worked up over this, and he may or may not have been born here, but the bottom line is the more energy and money people put into this the more the media ties the Tea Bag movement and other dissent to this...

Come on AZ - get it passed. Then we need to get a few others. All it takes is ONE. Can you imagine the eruption if a major party candidate simply didn't appear on the ballot of ANY state in the Union?

keep the pressure on, it will start to become more mainstream to question why a simple request is fought so hard.

Representative Sinema,
Why would insuring that constitutional standards are met make Arizona a laughing stock? The U.S. Constitution is the law, isn't it? Is the Constitution now a laughing stock?
I don't find it funny at all, do you?

Hope other States will follow. Love the 'snits' and even condemnations. Eventually, more WILL wonder why; Obama does not just show the BC.
BC - it is a big deal.

For God’s sake, you have to show a birth certificate to even get your child in school or play little league.
Why is this guy so above the laws that we all have to obey?

It may only take 1 state to make the point. What would be the reaction if Obama were to run for re-election without applying for ballot access in even 1 state? Wouldn't it be a tacit admission that there was something that Obama wanted hidden?
Obama is upping the ante when his Media minions start applying the ‘birther’ terminology to a state legislative body.

Lefties would call it an “arbitrary rule” -
they call any rule that hinders their agenda
either “archaic” or “arbitrary” etc.

Antceecee posted this on another thread: "
Funny how their only defense is to attack those who seek to have candidates be properly vetted as 'birthers'."
That really hit home, because even though the "royalty" in the White House is trying to "dismiss" the bill, they know the pressure is mounting.
And, as Pissant said, "
the MSM is circling the wagons...". I'm guessing they are the "critics" mentioned in the headline.
Well the dogs that holler loudest are the ones hardest bitten.
If the kenyan had nothing to hide, and Arizona was demanding a COLB, he would have said "
Sure, how many copies do you need?"
But, he doesn't...he just keeps spending more money - over $2 million to date - to hide it (probably our tax money, too.).
Now they love to pee on our shoes and tell us "it's raining", but that dog won't hunt...they don't hold an exclusive franchise on common sense and common sense would dictate to someone who just returned from Mars that something fishy is going on in DC.
The White House Limp Wrister is starting to remind me of "The Kingfish", on the old "Amos 'n' Andy" show of the 50's. "The Kingfish" was the king of fraudulent deals, always pulling a fast one on dim-witted Andy. I remember he sold him a formula for "invisible glass", and a "new home" that was just the front for a movie set.
The "kingobama" sells us a bag of goods everyday, and boy do we pay through the nose to get it...usually we don't get a say-so with his trained seals in the Congress balancing his balls on their noses.
When this fraud finally sees the light of day - and it will - it will make the global warming scam look like little George Washington cutting down the cherry tree. It will have world-wide repercussions, and serious ones at that.
He has "moved out of the way" for Putin to make a comeback, for Achmadinnerjacket to find new, nuke, parts, and for Hezbollah to advance on Israel. It will be like giving the "moocher" class in America, new "entitlements"...they will be hard to take away. The next President - if their is one after the obama coup - will have his/her hands full straightening out the mess obama is creating in world affairs.

The MSM is circling the wagons around their fraudulent gay marxist hero Yup.
Every single Republican governed state should pass such a bill, especially after we have taken control of more state congresses in November.

Arizona has several thousand examples of empirical evidence that the United States government does not enforce laws (Illegal Aliens pouring across the border.) It is in Arizona's best interest to ensure that federal laws are followed before deferring to federal sovereignty.

My niece in Florida had to show her BC to get a driver's learner permit in Florida Yet, the Dims and the media say it is crazy for the President to show his BC to prove his eligibly.
This whole thing stinks to high heaven. Barry is hiding something.

Seems to me that if he knows he presented his unassailable proof in the last election, their official stance would be “yep, that makes sense. good policy.”
Instead we get screams of “birthers!” Telling, really. Makes them look guilty as sin.
