PRWeb.com is reporting that voice over actor D.C. Douglas has been canned from GEICO for calling FreedomWorks and saying some very not nice things:
Los Angeles actor, D.C. Douglas, says he was dropped from the upcoming GEICO Shocking News campaign after a group of Tea Party members harassed him and the insurance giant over a private voicemail the actor left for FreedomWorks. Matt Kibbe, President and CEO of FreedomWorks, posted Mr. Douglas cell phone number in a blog post on biggovernment.com, instructing readers to Feel free to contact (him) call his employer too. Let them know that you are now in the market for car insurance. The next day, GEICO held auditions to replace Mr. Douglas voice on the campaign .
I called as a private citizen to make a complaint, explains Mr. Douglas. Racism and homophobia are my Achilles heal, but unfortunately my message included inappropriate words and I am sorry for that. However, telling their members to harass my employer to get me fired is an egregiously disproportionate response to my actions.
So this D.C. Douglas guy is upset that the TEA Party is racist and homophobic, yet he feels it OK to call FreedomWorks and ask how many people that work there are mentally retarded? Hes doing exactly what the Tea Party is supposedly doing, calling names. I went over to this fools website and I found this lovely graphic:

No it's not....actions can have consequences, dork.
If this is the end of the lizard commercials, the Tea Party is an even greater force for good than I thought.
If you remember it, it worked. People say Geico — and everyone thinks of the gecko, the caveman, and the googly-eyed money ... that is the mark of a successful advertising campaign.

Yo uber prick:
“Racism” has nothing to do with the Tea Party Movement. Absolutely nothing. But then the vast majority of those that hurl the incredibly tired and shopworn “racism” accusation, have absolutely no understanding of the word’s true meaning.
Regarding “homophobia”. Exactly what is that? Most conservatives are totally against the mainstreaming of perversion, but don’t feel that queers should be held criminally liable for their behavior. Additionally, none of us fear fags per se, we just resent the acquiescence to the extremely marginal view that a sick behavior that has been shunned over 5000 years of human history, is now in the “enlightened” progressive view, suddenly perfectly acceptable, even a badge of honor.

Achilles heal???
LEt Helicopter Ben throw it out of a chopper! /s
Huh ... I think FR is about to crash the server this guys web site is on.
Odd that they fired him because he was harassed by Tea Party folks. Amazing how they are continue to make the Tea Party the bad guys.
Starting with his gonads — assuming they can be located.
GEICO is a Warren Buffet/Berkshire Hathaway company.
I clicked on his webpage, and one of his demos was of himself on NPR with Rachel Maddow. Some totally unfunny bit that had her laughing her balls off.
He started it. He called them out as murderers. That is a pretty offensive (and threatening) voice mail.

Sociologists actually have made the point that it isn’t a “phobia” at all. But the media and therefore public keeps using this term because it’s more emotionally charged. The correct term is “heterosexism.” Personally I don’t really care what technical term people use, but that’s why it’s still called that.
Link seems to be dead.
Since he alleged concern that they were going to run a spin campaign when one of the Freedom Works followers “kills someone”, he is heterophobic.
Add spelling to that list.
I agree. That was my point.
Geico is one of them.
Progressive is another with that red lips idiot.
